  • nice, very nice car

  • Right on. Who gives a crap about dragging? It's real driving that matters.

  • Yeah, if all you do is mash the pedal in a straight line you're fast. Lotsa driving talent there. Xbox live has a bunch of 'em. Now try to keep up with this old man through some twisties with your slushbox. Won't happen.

  • Put out the coin for a Challenger and get the auto and a sun roof? No muscle car should have these features. I'll take my '09 R/T with the 6 speed manual (borrowed from the Viper) any day. Thumbs down to Dodge for even offering the V6 or the auto tranny. I guess they're trying to sell to people that can't drive stick but this is SOOO wrong!

  • @puntacanaman1 ........duh. Every winner at the track is an auto. Has been for the last 40 years. I admit it is fun to bang the gears but you are losing precious tenths when you do that and you inevitably over-rev the engine to hear it and get it out of it's power band.....you "think" you're flying because you hear it screaming but it would be better to have shifted a 1/2 second ago..........don't go racing buddy against anybody except your little high school buddies that don't know squat.

  • You are awesome, you do the best reviews on cars, keep making videos!!

  • was this a v6 ?

  • @BeemerKid760 No this had the 5.7 HEMI V8! It's got leather interior the V6 only comes with cloth.

  • @BeemerKid760

lol, does it sound like a v6??

  • @Veyronp87 idk does it??

  • @BeemerKid760

ummm, nooo!! a v6 doesn't bellow that deeply

  • @Veyronp87 Lol

  • I don't know what surprises me more; the fact that the driver does not use the the manual gear shift feature on this Mercedes-Benz sourced autoSTICK transmission, or that no one has mentioned that this car is equipped with it. Maybe no one here is familiar with it? It's fun as hell to run through the gears with it; upshifting AND downshifting. When you commute to work 70 mi/day in bumper-bumper traffic like I do, it's nice not to have to press a clutch a thousand times, which I did for years.

  • @TorqueRules1 True..

  • Pussy ass automAtic!!!!!!!!!

  • stop talking so much...

  • i would get an automatic too.

  • If I had one of these, I would have a pet mountain lion to ride with me.

  • 6 people couldnt DODGE this challenger

  • what song was at 1:30 ?

  • @kotsios38 Apocalyptica ft. Adam Gontier "I don't care"

  • @kotsios38 i dont care by apocalyptica

  • srly bro this is the best car if you love muscles cars and i love this sound jesus, beutyful.....

  • Nice Mandals Fag

  • the 2008-present Dodge Challenger is assembled in

    Brampton Assembly plant in Canada

  • Damn I love the sound of that engine when you get on the gas IMO these are the sexiest modern muscle cars, maybe not the fastest... But definitely the sexiest

  • oh man.. that sounds sick.

  • i want this car..

  • Next time try the Key-fob trick.......you will see some performance then.

  • Im saving my money for this car!

  • Is this a stock exhaust system?? and he didnt even floor it :D

  • Is this a stock exhaust system???

  • Why do you have a radio in this car? You don't need it :D

  • does this waste a lot of gas?

like 80 bucks of gas a week or what?

  • @alexisindian It actually kicks down into 4 cylenders and i think highway or something like that it gets like 20-24 MPG.....but saying that who the hell wants to 4 cylenders when you have a car like that cause most people dont actually dont use the eco system

  • i've floored it in my rt, with the 3.5L V6, DAMN! that v6 packs a fucking punch! i can't imagine flooring it in the 6.5L HEMI SRT8!

  • how much does it take to fill up this car and how long does it last

  • BEST REVIEW NO LIE!!!! I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE DRIVING A CHALLENGER AND THIS GUY IS DOING IT RIGHT!!!!!!

  • dude does it wast a lot of gas?

  • NIIIICCCCEEE

  • i know people say that manuals take the fun out of it, and tbh if your racing round a circuit or actually going out to have fun in it then yes it does, but for the times when you really cant be arsed doing anything autos are brill and i like the feeling of endless acceleration without a pause in it which you dont get with manuals.

  • No matter what others say, this car makes a lot of sound to designate a true muscle car classification. Even the Mustang, and Camaro do not growl like this beast. Truth be told, the Mustang V6, and Camaro V6 are soft at times, and sound like other cars. Plus, the Challenger has lots of room, cool seating positions, nice exterior. In the end, it's not about racing, or speed, but pride, and class.

  • id get automatic too stick is mad annoying in traffic eventually need new tires tires aint cheap clutch replacements wouldnt be cheap but thats my opinion

  • Awesome video, Challengers are the whole package !

  • AMAZING :)

  • gonna get my first Dodge Challenger R/T this year....btw, very good video....love the comment you're friend made....and play metal next time ;-)

  • How much did you pay for this one?

  • Do you know what your 0-60 time is?

  • Are you running stock exhaust? That sounds real nice..

  • "Mr. Blue Aluminum Bottle Maaakeer!!"

  • this was the best review on this car that i have seen !!

  • @agg19921 Thanks dude!

  • Living in NYC, I would go for the automatic.

However, it's a sports car. Kind of takes the meaning out of sport cars' fun.

  • The Challenger a sports car ? have you ever driven... for example, a lotus super 7, a Porsche 911 or an car weighting less than 4000 Pounds with some power ?.

Nevertheless, the Challi is a great car, but absolutely not sporty.

Usually, Automatic cars have a bigger consumption, but indeed, because of MDS, thats not an argument anymore.

  • Uhh, muscle car, then?

  • Thats quite a good description, yeah indeed !

  • Haha, ok, my bad. I usually think of muscle cars as a sport car brand sometimes.

  • @ScorpioFuror

In lived in L.A. and drove manual. It's not the gearbox-it's the driver. U know how or u do not know how to drive. Yes, i admit, sometimes is frustrating to press 1.000.000 times clutch per day:-) ... but still....manual is more fun !!!

    No ofence buddy!

  • those budlight commercials are funny nice rt!

  • Who's driving? Is that your father?

  • manual or auto for everyday driving?

  • I ordered the auto. I've been driving a manual for years, and it does get tiring. Ignore the wannabe race car drivers on the internet and go with practicality(automatic). It's just as fun minus the hassles.

  • @karandipsohal say like in a city of los angeles take the auto.. if ur in a place like kyle... manual should be no problem

  • how come ur dad drive with one hand on a auto? that's harder?

  • i cant decide if i'd want this car with a manual tranny or take the automatic. i'd want the manual just because the better performance, but depending on how often i was driving it and where, i think i'd prefer the auto in the long run

  • get the manual, they say its the r/t manual is the best choice out of all of them

  • thanks for the advice. it makes sense. seems like the best way to get all the performance out of that 5.7

  • in the long run.. auto all life.. unless you live in a place where there is no traffic at all...

  • can you still get an auto with the limited slip dif?

  • with che "track pack" option you have a limited slip diff.. and It's standard on the SRT 6.1

  • oh good. i hate to have to pluck down the extra money for the SRT8 just to get an LSD when all i want is an R/T w/ LSD

  • as far as I know it's aviable even with the standard R/T as an option.. ask a dealer for more info on the price of the package ;)

    good luck

  • thanks man :)

  • hmm theres no audio controls on the steering wheel thts weird

  • i think thats a base model

  • i think dodge likes to put their audio controls on the back of the steering wheel

  • Audio controls on the steering wheel is an option that you can order, it comes standard on the SRT8 but it's an option for R/T's. This being an R/T it just wasn't equipped with it, either the owner didn't order it that way or if it was a dealer ordered car they just didn't add that package. I've got it on my SRT and I've found it to be a good system to have, you can monitor oil & tire pressure, oil temp, it has a 0-60 & 1/4 mile timer, and alot of other cool stuff in there.

  • oh cause ive been in an rt and it had it on there, i didnt know tht

  • SWEEET!

  • nice video. I love the sound from this car. Thanks for posting

  • OMG it sounds identical to my 1999 Suburban weird?? I guess its because its the same engine(5.7l 350ci)V8

  • kyle r u driving from 6.05?

  • hw come your day don't trust you behind the wheel :P

  • you guys have nice house

  • 1. That Challenger is sweet.

    2. Your Dad is so effin cool.

    3. I hope when you said you wanted to take it to the track you meant a drag strip cause that thing probably handles like a whale on wheels :)

  • Your just saying that because your 3 is better, handling wise :P

  • hahaha yeah that's what I meant, it would handle a lot better if they didn't build it on the charger platform probably, also I didn't realize just how heavy that thing is, it's over 2 tons, my car is like 3600-3700 lbs I think haha. Dad had so much fun with that car, he loved it :P too bad we sold it last wednesday :(

  • man that challenger sounds soooo sexy.

  • It really did, I just wonder what a good K & N filter system would do to it, I know how good yours sounded after the CAI!

  • wow that thing sounds sweet although I kinda agree with the other people.....who gets a automatic challenger :P Awesome vid kyle, greatest quote from this vid: "And I didn't even have it floored" :D

  • I've only seen 1 manual challenger and it was an srt8, from what I've seen a lot of people get autos lol, they're hard to come by thanks man!

  • do you still have the 2009 dodge challenger and if you do how much is it and a wedsite so i can look at it tanks plese reply

  • I'm all about that white GS making a left turn.

  • I was checking the zoom on the camera lol, like I said in the video

  • The best video i've ever seen.

Next take it to I95 and floor it to 140MPH

  • is the car driving by itself jk

  • can your dad keep it

  • yeah I did but we sold it last wednesady

  • you love that challenger dont you :)

  • man the exhaust sounds good from the inside

  • Who the hell says "I want a Challenger!" and then gets it in a crappy automatic?

  • cool vid

  • did u get to drive it?? if so how did u like it man???

  • does that challenger have the push button start?

  • no but it has a laser key from mercedes

  • some challengers have a button to start

  • i think its the srt which has the push button start

  • the push start is just a piece of plastic over the ignition, I think they all can get it if they have this type of ignition switch if I'm not mistaken
