  • I have been noticing this phenomenon for about 3 months now. Initially, I was just star gazing as usual and I saw a flash. Just about exactly like yours. I had my binoculars close by, so I waited. I saw the flash again and immediately turned my binos to the exact spot... NOthing there! No satellite, no star, no plane. Nothing.

  • I saw a flash in the sky about an hours ago, 1:30am. The flash I saw was much brighter though.

  • I live in Tucson Arizona USA and I have seen flashes like that several times in the night sky, sometimes they flash repeatedly every ten seconds or so and appear to move slightly over time relative to the stars around them. Can't think of any conventional explanation yet...

  • Satellites?

  • It was right above my back garden, so no not a satellite.

  • Why wouldn't satellites be able to orbit above your backyard?

  • They would, but this was no satellite as it's too visible and close. A satellite would be seen as a point of light and constant in the clear night sky, plus they move West to East always, I have been told, so as not to crash into each other. This object appeared briefly for 1 second then disappeared. I have the original MPG4 file and it is quite a large and close object. Maybe it detected the Infra-Red beam on the Nightscope and was curious, who knows? I will try and film more stuff when I can.

  • I checked to see if the Geosynchronous satellites would flash their solar panels back at the earth or something, but the panels don't rotate, astronomy professor at my university says it wasn't a pulsar or anything he could think of, and ya, its not the conventional satellites you see that are steadily moving or iridium flare.

  • Nice catch but if you blow it up nice and big you will see that it is the "Check engine" light on the UFO....

  • Interesting Video,

    Peace

  • Well spotted. ..... They ( whoever "they" are ) are definately here !

Seen quite a few over the years but never with a camera switched on , so no proof like this. Well done .
