@riaAZ1997 you can use 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar, but if you don't have cream of tartar, i don't think you can make a substitution.
@Dengee this particular recipe requires egg because the egg helps to bind all the ingredients together! there are other recipes on the internet that don't require egg, but this recipe is delicious :)

Does the recipe really need egg? When I read the ingredients to a tin of sugar cookies from Scottland (at Costco) there's no egg!
