  • could i substitute baking powder for baking soda?

  • @riaAZ1997 you can use 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar, but if you don't have cream of tartar, i don't think you can make a substitution.

  • do you have to have vanilla extract ????

  • @kyna331 well, you don't need it, but i think it enhances the overall flavor

  • d we need baking sda or powder

  • @smoxie44 baking soda

  • @queenofcooking awesome thanks!

  • Does the recipe really need egg? When I read the ingredients to a tin of sugar cookies from Scottland (at Costco) there's no egg!

  • @Dengee this particular recipe requires egg because the egg helps to bind all the ingredients together! there are other recipes on the internet that don't require egg, but this recipe is delicious :)
