even at the end when katyama was driving like a man possesed and only 20 sec behind the lead BMW and gaining on the bmw at 3 secs a lap, the win was on for toyota until the michelins gave way..... love the toyota gt1

I think this was Allan McNish's last closed top prototype until the Audi R18 came along.

That BMW V12 sounds incredible! Not many cars (if any) beat that car's sound even until now

I was there - although rather drunk at 1am when the crash happened! Shame to see Brundle go out after looking like the win might be on. The Toyota GT1 was a great looking car.

Respect for making it to Le Mans. It's really sad to see that car make it all the way to second just to have a mechanical failure. It really evokes alot of emotion just watching it.
