hi, i have two budgies and they are a boy and a girl...i am working on hand taming them but i have not quite been able to get them to come onto my finger without flying away....could you tell me how you tamed them?

@jinxpoop Hey, basically, take your budgie out of the cage every day for 30 minutes, to play. Your budgie will start loving you, 5 minutes later when they go back to the cage, put your finger in, if not, try the next day. Until your budgie does not come, keep doing it.

OR put the finger on the budgies belly, above the feet.

@Theshofumiah1 It just feels like a pinch, use a perch perch to try to get them out of their cage before you try sticking your finger in. Watch "how to gain your parakeets trust," its a great video!

@Theshofumiah1 I read that budgie bites don't hurt at all and that they can't break the skin. I have one budgie I found on the street who bites and bites HARD. I have another I handfed as a baby and she mouths but never bites to hurt me, and with her it doesn't hurt. But my male is a biter, and he's made me bleed a couple of times. He's unpredictable and will bite even when he's in a good mood.
