Sweet. If only they could make buoy's with this technology out in the surf zone now then we'd all be safe. I want to see some footage of a Great White going nuts because of one of these things beeping or whatever next to him/her. That would rule if they started spazzing out when this happened, lol.

hello all... i saw this product in a transworld surf magazine.... it seems like it costs a lot but its the price u gotta pay for savin a limb or more. once i get the cash is it really worth the 675 cause i havent ever seen a shark up where i am in ny when i have dove or surfed but i always have gotten spooked while surfing out at a far out sandbar alone

Yep get into the new model surf shield. The older one doubled as a leg rope but the new one has solved some issues with the original design. The new one simply trails in the water and is slightly reduced in cable thickness which is a bit lighter, and less bulky.
Store it charged cos the L-ion batteries dont like to be left uncharged over long periods of time.
Surfers I seriously recomend this device.

I have one of these... Prob one of the first ones released on the market. The piece of mind it gives is you is real. Thanks guys for developing and refining an awesome product. The little zaps you get when it wraps around your leg lets you know it is working... I'v never felt safer out in the water and I doubt I'd ever surf without it.... Cheers guys! p.s. Can you develop one that keeps other surfers away? HA!
