  • @zeldadespair I use 15cm paper from Michael's

  • can you make a tutorial on origami ring tailled lemur? please....

  • Not going to lie, I really love the way you say "fold."

  • where do you get the paper for this? I really need to know.

  • Can u make a tutorial for his unicorn?

  • 3 FRIKIN HOURS

  • @jpedrogoesahotmail its an hours worth of tutorial, so its in for a long time

  • I Made It It Was A Piece Of Cake No I'am Not Kidding I'am Serious

  • DAMIT she cut me out of the vid... I ran in at the end of the video ripped the vixen in half, laughed at her for 30 seconds and then went off to take a sh*t in her origami supplies.

  • @reptilionsarehere Ha Ha, brilliant sense of humour!

  • @adamssara Will You Please Reply To This I am Asian And I Live In Bangladesh And Does Origami Shop.com Sends Papers Or Books In Bangladesh Please Write Back.

  • Not vetererien, but veteran!

  • nice origami... but really the tut shud be about 10 minutes long.. this is pretty simple to make.

  • My first snowball !!!! But Very Good video. Thanks.

  • really good....

  • I finished it today and it looks great! I had used plain printer paper as a prototype to make sure I got everything right because I had made a very time-tasking paper consisting of orange tissue paper (with a little red food coloring mixed with water applied on top to give a better color) glued (with Elmer's glue mixed with water, since I couldn't get the plaster) to aluminum foil. All the creases held very well and the finished model can now stand firmly. I love this one, thanks so much!

  • VERY DIFFICULT!!!!!!!!

  • @mpinkrumbrella try tadashimori's tutorials. this is a very simple model.

  • i finished m thine today-was the hardest origami i ever made thanks

  • i finished mine today (:

  • Your voice is beautiful.

  • Are you able to ask permission to make the unicorn please!! It is the only decent looking unicorn I can find, ironically there are no videos for it :( I would be so happy if you could upload a tutorial for it!!!

  • @mrpuffle3000 We'll see, maybe in the future. For now, I think the model is still too new to demonstrate a second model from it.

  • @AdamsSara Ok, sure, thanks! :)

  • @AdamsSara bald sind es zwei Jahre die du das Video uploaded hast. Der Entwurf ist nicht mehr so alt. Also kannst du uns bitte jetzt zeigen wie man den Einhorn macht????

  • This video could have a "sleep aid" tag. (and I mean it as a compliment)

  • I snickered(in no mean way), when the fox was put down 1:57 - 02:10 and it become apparent, how flat it indeed was.

  • 18:37 - 20:07 pain in the butt

  • at 16:05 you do a little step but do not explain it that is what throws people off and gets you dislikes make sure you explain every little detail when it comes to origami because it does count.

Also you put your hand quickly over it so i failed to see the step in process.

  • at 16:05 you do a little step but do not explain it that is what throws people off and gets you dislikes make sure you explain every little detail when it comes to origami because it does count.

  • I really cant get how to make this possible: 15:45 - 15:51. Tried everything, yet I cant fold it. :/

  • I have got it!! After a hour!. :D

  • do u have cd

  • @nurbs1234 You can download the video and burn it on a CD if you like (for personal use). I currently don't sell DVDs.

  • how does thar paper work?!?!?! you bend it and it gets marked??!?! i just realized they cut the shooting, they take the paper, they draw it and they put the paper back under her arms again...

  • @estebanflyer Yes, that's how I basically create the visual effect of the magic paper. :)

  • how does thar paper work?!?!?! you bend it and it gets marked??!?!

  • I am using a 20cm paper...the part between 18:00-22:00 minutes builds character haha!!

  • Can you make a donkey?

  • @xvzw I currently don't have plans to show another model from Origami Essence. This may change with time, though.

  • can teach the roc eagle

  • @pokematt99 I probably won't. The model doesn't tempt me at all, I fear.

  • Ring tailed lemur=king julian from madaksgar :)

  • I finally got the book from origami shop it also came with like five pieces of tissue foil but the book rocks

  • I need some advice... My birthday is pretty soon and i can't decide should I take the book "Origami essence" or "Origami design secrets"... I'm really not shure.I enjoy folding models other ppl created and designing my own. Answer please...

P.S. Not a pro the but i figured out the phoenix 3.5 ;)

  • @mobradovic00 Well, choose the book that interests you more. Origami Essence has beautiful models in it. Origami Design Secrets also has extensive articles on the design techniques behind the models presented (or rather, Robert chose designs to exemplify the theory he wrote up). Simply comparing the models, I prefer Origami Essence. But ODS is a masterpiece in itself. So both would be an excellent addition to your origami library. :)

  • Excellent, you are great. I would love to e-mail you some of my models. Thanks again.

  • @MrGetaclueplease My email address is no secret. ;) sara@happyfolding(dot)com

  • im so close but a little wrinkled

  • i made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I very interested in origami. Would you recommend Works by satoshi kamiya 1995-2003, or origami essence.

  • @oceanblue1224 works of satoshi kamiya have most complex models , origamiessence have simple to hard

  • hi there I am interested in origami essence where can i get it in INDIA

  • @drnimishag The book is only available at origami-shop(dot)com. They deliver worldwide.

  • OMG 1 hour

  • where do the dotted lines come from :0

  • 0_0:OMG ITS A SQUIRREL

    -_-: no its a fox

T_T: but i thought it was a squirrel *CRY

-_-: well its a fox deal with it

    >o<:NOOO *commits suicide

0_-: *opens one eye for something worth seeing

    :D !!!

  • done ^.^ I missed some details on the head however the result still is pretty neat ^.^

    thank you Sara!

  • Are the diagrams in Origami Essence easy to understand. I can't follow Robert Lang's diagrams.

  • @stanimatorblue That's hard to say. Robert Lang has been diagramming for a while now, and his style has changed a bit. I think his older diagrams are quite a bit harder to read than the more recent ones. I found the diagrams in Origami Essence to be very good, but there are tricky steps here and there that you may have to puzzle about for a little while. It really depends on how comfortable you feel with reading diagrams, and which style you prefer.

  • yo dude plzzzz can u make a mythological eagle i tried making but I..... failed!

  • can you sent me one in an envelope or letter thing

  • @F0XSQUAD Sorry, I don't send folded models (unless maybe to close origami friends).

  • @AdamsSara

yeah oke i understand doesnt matter thatnk for responding

  • i wasted 1 hour! making this shhit!

  • omg the dotted lines magically appear when she folds!

  • Grrrrr....like always I need a larger paper! I really like this video by the way! Beatiful book too! :)

  • you talk funny LOL

  • hey sara? where can you get the book Origami Eccense by Roman Diaz besides on computer i wanna buy it

  • @acciddropproductions You can buy it from origami-shop(dot)com only, I fear.

  • thanks a lot sara!!!

i hope you will never stop posting such great origami videos :D

    happy new year btw ;)

  • hands down the longest video iv ever seen

  • if you live in a poor country can you just use tisue foil for all models?

  • @mobradovic00 You can use any paper you like. Tissue foil is not well-suited for all models, but many things you will be able to fold with it. It's a matter of taste which paper you prefer, I know some people fold essentially everything from tissue foil. I myself try to avoid tissue foil most of the time, though.

  • @AdamsSara

    oke danke :)

  • im fairly good at origami(the best model i can make is chocobo by kamiya satoshi)

so can you recomend a book, site or a video that is for me pls

  • @mobradovic00 Well, my favorite book right now is Origami Essence by Roman Diaz, which also includes this vixen. The complexity of the models presented in the book should suit your skills, too. In the video description there's a link to the shop where you can buy the book. Hope this helps!

  • @AdamsSara thank you very much now i know what i want for new year

  • about how tall is the fox w/ the paper u used?

    thnx

  • @KiwiEmu000 If you start with a 24cm square, then the fox is about 10cm high. (9.5in square -> 4in height)

  • how did you make the frogs eyes red?

  • @MistyTune Use paper that is green on one side, red on the other. The model has a color change.

  • wow, you have make 1h thats amazing. can you pleas show us how to make the singing cardinal. pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssss.

PS: Roman Diaz is really very good

  • @Filip49866 While the book is still quite new, I have decided not to demonstarte another model from the book.

  • echt unglaublich was man alles mit papier falten kann :)

  • What an outstanding work!

Keep your passion and thanks for sharing it with us.

  • you are a great teacher, you cutted the vid to understand the creases

  • make a tutorial for the lemur please

  • :D Most magnificent!

  • so beautiful, thanks ma'am

  • im giving up on origami forever

  • @Doromar80 Maybe you should move to an easier project first, rather than giving up totally. This is definitely an advanced model, and you shouldn't be too disappointed if you're not quite ready for it yet.

  • I finished it and it looks great! Thanks for the tutorial . Your a great teacher!

  • @boffyful happyfolding(dot)com/books - it's not a complete list, as I haven't added my latest additions yet, but it should give you a good idea of what's in my origami library.

  • this shit wass hela hard !!!!! >( and the person that sed it was ther first time ur gay !!!!

  • this shit wass hela hard !!!!! >(

  • good luck to everyone who try

  • I made one with 35 x 35 kami paper, and it turned out great. Thanks for teaching, keep up the good work !

  • I like te fox its not to hard but it gets anoeing

  • you got hands of a man

  • @MotteAndMightyMac You folded this as your first origami model? That's pretty amazing!

  • ahhhh my nervs

  • beautiful :-)

  • OMFG!! 1 Hour? LOL! Awesome u have a Better Internet 5 GB HAHA ;P

  • omg one hour? wow

  • p.s.: maybe one could also curl the open sides of the tail in a bit to give it more volume? at least that's what i did with my test fold...

  • @misinterpretxx Sure, feel free to shape to taste. :)

  • aww, what a beautiful fox! i love the shaping of the face and the extra folds you did on the muzzle (amazingly, mine did come out pretty symmetrical) (all right, i do have some folding experience, but not nearly as much as you!) ;) ...on the downside, the forelegs appear a bit tyrannosaurus rex-ish easily if they don't go all the way down xD

  • @misinterpretxx Funny, I've always thought of it having a very typical squirrel body. :) But maybe a T-Rex and a squirrel have the same kind of foreleg posture? ;)

  • is that a bad thing that my fox looks like a rabid chiuaua???

  • aaah great ;D i'll make one for my boyfriend ;D i'm making origami for him heh im sure he'd like it we have some extra hard days cause of my sickness im sure he'll enjoy that vixen for sure thank you for explaing how to make it i'm catching paper and begin

  • Does origami essence from origami shop come in english

  • @HeyPug Yes, the book provides all texts in English and Spanish.

  • Please can you show a tutorial on how to make the ring tailed lemur. Lemurs are my fav animal.

  • @HeyPug Sorry, I do not plan to make another instructional video for a model from this book. I do not want to endanger the sales of this book, but promote it. After all, Roman Diaz put a lot of time and effort into it, and should at least get some revenue out of it. Hope you understand.

  • You put so much work into your videos! They are by far the best on youtube. Thank you for doing the extra work to make it clear for us.

  • @katiekawaii Thank you. :) I do try to make things clear, and it's good to hear that I seem to be doing a decent job at it.

  • Comment removed

  • mhh .... not the best

  • @AdamsSara, thanks for the information, I just finished the model in about 45 minutes, but i made a mistake for the legs. Can you help me with step 44?I cant seem to get the black triangle on the leg.If you can help me,I would appreciate it alot.

  • @snakeye54 I am travelling right now, and do not have access to my book. Sorry.

  • @AdamsSara, The reason i hoped you can do it is because i only want to do that particular model. So,buying the book for 32.00 dollars just to make a singing cardinal is just plain ridiculous...I did find a download of the book,(the reason I still asked is because my mom dosent want me to download stuff bacause of viruses..)and i hope you can atlest tell me how long the model takes to fold because i kinda get out of hand once two hours pass by.Hope you answer back soon :)

  • @snakeye54 I cannot tell you how long it will take you to fold the model. If you have advanced enough skills, then you should be able to fold it in under 2 hours. The singing cardinal is a bit harder to fold than the vixen, just for orientation.

  • @snakeye54 did you please tell me from where. i wanna download it

    thanks

by the way is it in PDF?

  • can you please make a video on how to make the singing cardinal? my uncle's favorite animal is the cardinal, and I really wanna make one for him

  • @snakeye54 I fear I don't plan to demonstrate another model from that book, at least not any time soon. I want to promote the book, rather than discourage people from buying it by showing many of the models included. So if you're keen to fold the model, do buy the book. As I mentioned in the video, it is excellent. Hope you understand the reasoning.

  • wow, thanks for this video, I tryed some model of the book, and it's a very awesome book. To not change your habit, you explained this model very well ^^

I've tryed to fold the vixen, the ring tailed lemur, the kingfisher and some inflatable model.

Thanks one more time for the recommandation ^^

  • I LOVE those kind of hobbies, I would like to have time to dedicate to origami, perler beads, scoubidous, fimo, felt puppets, etc. :( This fox is sooooo beautiful !!!!!!! :O

  • have trouble starting on 18:00...i cant see the creases you pointed out...

  • have you made the roc lvl 5

  • @TheOrigamiTom No, I haven't. To be quite honest with you, it's one of the models that doesn't really tempt me. I somehow like Roman Diaz's more "simple", clear-lined models better than this most complex model of the book. It's a matter of taste, for sure.

  • Sara. Just wanted to say thank you for your excellent presentation. I managed the fox first time and I can tell that you are an outstanding Origami tutor. I love Roman models and this is a good example of his wonderful creative ability. I will definately buy the book since I already have the first two in the series (Origami for Interpreters and Licence to fold) and loved this model.

  • @metkho Thanks. :)

"Origami Essence" is my favourite origami book right now, so I can only agree with your decision to buy the book. The designs in there are just wonderful.

I also have the other two books in the series, by the way. :)

  • could u make a vid 4 the divine dragon?

  • @SavagetheMaker Short answer: no.

Long answer: I won't be posting any instructional videos on Satoshi Kamiya's models. This is his wish, and I respect it. The divine dragon would also be too complex and time-consuming to demonstrate in a video.

  • Thank you very much for this video! I've tried to make this funny fox and i've done it! It's so cute, my daughter was really glad and grabbed it. :))) I'm always waiting for your works. Thanks a lot.

  • @FireJustice You're welcome. :) Hope the fox survived your daughter's appreciation. ;)

  • Im sorry :(

  • hola. excelente elección, ya lo her realizado un par de veces y resulta muy interesante... yo lo hice con papel laminado hecho por mi... es interesante ver como lo hace otra persona... y mas alguien con tanta experiencia... saludos...

  • what was the price of this book & were did u find it

  • @ohmastar Click on the link in the video description. That's where you can buy it, and that's where you can see the price. :)

  • hey sara, its me again. I want to know what kind of papaer you would recomend for making kamiya satoshi unicorn PLEASE RESPOND

  • @kjs3211 Please do not post comments and send me questions. It's really not necessary to tell me to respond in caps in every message, either. ;) I do answer all (reasonable) questions, but it sometimes takes a couple of days. I still have a full-time job. ;)

  • sara, i got this book and wat models do u think i should try? ive done the vixen and kingfisher already

  • @pr0ph33r Just fold the models you like best on the pictures, I'd say. It's really up to your taste. You know I love the ring tailed lemur, and the singing cardinal is amazing, too. The simpler cardinal is also really nice. And the frogs... in summary: everything I folded from the book I was really happy with.

  • I got it first thank to your extremely clear video. Tomorrow I'll try to upload a video with the finished model. I think if somebody can't do it with this video, he (or she) won't be able to do it at all.

    Thank you very much.

  • @MrMicawer Thanks for the video update! It's really great to see the results my viewers get - especially when they turn out as well as yours!

  • @AdamsSara You are very kind. Thanks.

  • how much does the book cost

  • @SMELLYOLDFEET You could just check the website, there's a link in the video description...

  • I'm not sure if i should even try this because an hour long video on nonstop folding would take multiple hours to learn and also shows a level of difficulty and i'm not sure if i can handle it. Do you think it's still worth a shot

  • @STAYTOONED2ME Depending on your confidence you might be able to finish the model with me in that one hour, I'd assume it shouldn't take you longer than 1.5 to 2 hours if you run into troubles. You can always comment with questions, too. It's definitely not a beginner's model, but with some experience and attention to detail (precision is important!), I think you can make it. In summary: do give it a try. Oh, and do try to use larger paper, at least as large as I suggest in the video.

  • oh. why not? (Just curious. Its fine that you wont :) thanks for all the tutorials youve made)

  • @origamifreakk The book is still pretty new, and I actually want people to buy it. You could see this demonstration as a small candy, and the book a full bag of candies. I gave you a small taste, and hope now you're hungry for more. Hungry enough to spend some money on the big bag of candy. :)

  • @AdamsSara

    oh :) xD

  • you should make one on the ring-tailed lemer i cant find instructions for it

  • @hollistersurfer77 I fear I don't plan to demonstrate another model from that book, at least not any time soon. But if you're keen to fold the model, do buy the book. As I mentioned in the video, it is excellent.

  • OH MY GOD IS THAT A PANDA IN THERE? PLEASE MAKE A TUTORIAL ON THAT O.O My friend is obssesed with pandas and i think i want to make one for his birthday :)

  • @origamifreakk Sorry, I fear I don't plan to demonstrate another model from that book, at least not any time soon. You can always buy the book, of course. :)

  • Just to follow up on my last comment, I ordered the book and can't wait for it to arrive. This morning I completed the vixen! Thanks again for the great tutorial! There were a couple of spots where I think I might have been confused by standard diagrams, but your video made the steps crystal clear.

  • @echels Good to hear this. Hope you enjoy the book at least as much as you did the video!

  • i just cant seem to get the part at 18:03 - 19:24 it always looks so uneven or just not right when i do it.....

  • @sleeksheepfox Be sure to only go along existing creases. If this is difficult, strengthen the folds before you sink these areas.

  • oh my gosh

I just made this from kami and it looks beautiful

    Thank you!

    AdamsSara

P.s. I ordered the orgamido paper and it came in just yesterday it is sooo awesome!!

  • @XxFLYguy111530xX Great to hear you were successful in following the video. It's always great to hear that my videos is clear enough to be folded from. :)

  • oh oh oh please demonstrate folding the panda on the bottom left hand corner pretty please

  • Thank you so much for your videos. My first of severalsuccessful Fujimoto Hydrangeas I owe to you. I have seen photos of this fox but didn't know where to find the diagrams. Now I know where to order the book, and have an excellent instructional video as well. It is people like you who make YouTube as great as it is!

  • wow how do people come up with these folds?

  • i finish folding this model and then is when you put this video!
