Death Metal is more like Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Nile, etc. And Manowar is not a very good representation of power metal. For that Helloween, Running Wild, Hammerfall, Rage, Scanner, and Virgin Steele (all the best parts of Manowar with much stronger song-writing talent as opposed to purely playing talent) are much better examples
