  • your on a bicycle, he's a bus, I think he has the right of way.

  • @wildbc2011. Sorry, I don't follow your logic. Do you mean that if you're in a car and he's in a bus then he has right of way?

  • when idontpayroadtax does not upload anymore video's he's probably dead

  • @beatmakerbrown . Either that or he is resigned to shit driving and now only posts the really bad stuff. Motorists passing at 40 mph and within 6 inches is normal.

  • its people like you that die on these roundabouts, its happened loads of times, and if you died nobody would be to blame but you.

  • @beatmakerbrown. I think your argument is completely flawed, but thanks for increasing my viewing figures.

  • Don't be a fool and put your life in someone else's hands on a 60mph limit roundabout, particularly when there is a perfectly good cycle lane on the pavement..............

  • @Fraser3005. Thanks for advising me to use the cycle lane. If you have crossed this junction on a bike you'd know that the cycle lane has several blind corners which bring cyclists into conflict with pedestrians, goes a long way around under subways with glass and other debris and has a poor surface in several places.

Well done on spotting the 60mph limit. It's reassuring to know that it is a limit and not a target. God help anyone if the bus could have gone from zero to 60mph.

  • I like your user name. I also don't pay road tax, but I say that from the comfort of a heated cab of a 2 ton 4x4. I can go anywhere I like in a fraction of the time it takes you, and I can carry all my work tools and other large items with me. Not something easily done on a bicycle. Why not buy a classic Leaf Sprung Land Rover. Then nobody in a bus would cut you up!

  • @MAPFWH, I'm surprised that no-one has told you to get off the road and use the cycle lanes of you don't pay road tax!!

  • @idontpayroadtax I wouldn't hear them, with the noise my knackered smoky diesel engine makes :P Seriously, buy one, they ae increasing in value, are exempt from LEZ charging, and insurance is less than £100 a year (For me, but I'm an old git) If I was told to drive off the road, I could, quite easily. As for broken glass, I have South African miltary spec tyres, and they're thorn proof at least! Happy pedalling!

  • wanna hear a good tip? USE COMMON SENSE if you dont wanna die riding a bike, even if its some1 elses fault, dont trust your right of way, but instead brake when you see ur going to hit a car who according to the rules dont have the right to be there at that particular time, and use the apropriate lane thats available, and let ppl pass

  • @geppegep. I avoided a collision with the bus by slowing and moving to the left. Luckily there was no traffic in the left lane. I was in the appropriate lane and do you let people pass you on a roundabout?

  • so why on earth did u not use the cycle lane on the pavements that are safer for yourself?, and under paths under the roundabout.

YOU GIVE us cyclists a bad name, when there is a lane, I want more cycle lanes but if yourself and others continue not to use them.

  • @ntlman85. The paths provided are poorly designed, poorly signposted, have several blind corners and take a very tortuous route around this roundabout. I also want more cycle lanes but I want them well designed and to an acceptable standard. They should integrate with other traffic and not segregate.

Department of Transport guidelines for a cycle lane on the road in a 30mph zone isa minimum 1.5m wide - how many cycle lanes have you seen anywhere that meet this MINIMUM requirement?

  • @idontpayroadtax I agree, cycle lanes are very poorly designed. It seems that the desing brief was to segregate the traffic like you say, rather than actually provide the cyclist with a quick, direct & safe route.

  • Did you ever get a response from first bus?

  • @jonathanburford Yes I did. Standard letter - we take incidents such as this seriously, fell below our noraml expectations, driver will be interivewed etc etc.

  • What was a lorry doing on that big bike path anyway?

  • If I was driving behind some cockhead riding in the middle of my fucking lane at 30kmph I'd probably ram you up the ass, I have no idea why you have to be in the middle of the road, using the lanes, in the same way it pisses you off to use cycling paths you have to understand that people would get pretty mad when they're stuck behind you aswell,

why cant you ride on the gutter, or curb for you americanos?

  • @subWOOFFA . Thanks for the offer - I'll bring the KY jelly and condom - you just need to turn up and keep your end up! I assume that because you have no idea why I was in the middle of the road that you are an inconsderate driver with no regard for other road users - have you actually taken a driving test? I couldn't ride in the gutter because gutters are at the side of the road and not in the midlle of a three lane carriageway. Thanks for your ignorant opinion.

  • @idontpayroadtax there's this beautiful thing, its called a footpath.

and I dont think we will question who the ignorant one is.

  • @subWOOFFA. You're correct. There is a foot path. It is designred for people on foot - hence the name.

  • @idontpayroadtax Roads are also populated by cars. captain obvious.

  • @subWOOFFA. Good observation. They are also populated by motorbikes, lorries and the occasional horse.

  • @subWOOFFA

I was run off the road by a taxi whilst on my bike recently - now the guy is in hospital with a broken jaw as I did not take kindly to his attitude towards my road position and his attempt to throw my bike out of his way.

Please do run into me sometime - I'd love for you to share the same experience.

It might pay you to remember that cyclists are fit - car drivers are not.

  • @subWOOFFA If you ram someone 'up the ass' at 30 'kiloMilesPerHour' kmph you'd kill them. Do you often consider killing people? You have to understand that murder gets people pretty mad. Why can't you use the road like you're supposed to rather than threatening to kill other legitimate road users?

  • @DivideBYZero69 kilometers per hour* no, i wouldnt kill them, 30k's is about 16 - 17 mph.

  • @subWOOFFA Go and run into a brick wall at 17Mph, then drag your face along the concrete for 10 metres. Let me know how that feels.

  • Shocking driving from the bus

  • @breakwings. That's correct, I was cycling on a road where I have a right to cycle. and I was cycling at about 20 mph on that road.

The cycle path is a shared use path full of debris and it weaves in and out between bushes and railings and varies from 2m wide to about 1 m wide, is a lot slower and means I do not have priority when crossing juctions and roads and impedes my progress.

I choose not to use cycle paths and that does not give other road users the right to force their way past me.

  • @idontpayroadtax You are such a self righteous jackass.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter

Completely agreed... never seen so many Hiterlish videos in my life. idontpayroadtax- you should read 1984, you'd probably get along with it very well!

  • @Thewestcoastshooter. Thanks for your educated opinion.

  • @breakwings. Apology accepted. The road layout around this roundabout is crap.

  • @idontpayroadtax. YOU CHOOSE NOT TO USE CYCLE LANES? I cannot believe I am reading this!

that roundabout is a national speed limit roundabout, No wonder us cyclists are hated by cyclists....the bus driver....

I actually agree the driver did nearly knock you off but its like bus drivers who dont use bus lanes, silly, why do it.

  • @ntlman85. There's no compulsion to use the cycle lanes. YOu're correct, it is national speed limit and so are 90% of the roads I normally commute on so how does that make cyclists hated?

I did it because the road goes where I wanted to go and the cycle lanes that are provided take nearly ten minutes longer to cover the same route and don't meet the department of transport guidelines for the safe design of cycle paths/lanes.

  • What head cam are you using?

  • What head cam are you using?

  • @Soupeeeee. Contour HD 1080p

  • @idontpayroadtax

Thanks for that - I've been looking for a decent one for a while - got a new campaign - it's called "screw all the drivers who use the phone"

I reckon I can flood the law with 20 offences a day - I'll get all these bad drivers banned myself. Video evidence is very compelling in front of a judge.

  • Not excusing what the driver did but I think you're positioning could have been a bit better there (further over to the right maybe of the lane you were in, stops things like that, i guess you signalled you were straying right (naturally can't tell).

  • @Testedecazzo. It doesn't matter where in the lane I was. I was in front of him and whichever exit I was going o take, whether off to the left or straight on, he blocked me. The roundabout was almost empty so he's got absolutely no excuse.

  • Report that driver 100%. He/she has FORCED you into another lane of traffic. Thankfully the other lane was empty.

  • I had a problem with a Stagecoach driver a few weeks, after a few emails to people in the company, with YouTube uel included, I received an apology. These big companies do not like their drivers driving badly.

I do not understand why professional drivers drive in such a way that they could loose there licence and their lively hood.
