I had seen them perform in Milwaukee at a dive called The JeffersonStarShip.I was a great show,I was 18 at the time!To this day,I still collect Ventures music,from the original group the to younger one today to continue the legacy,The Ventures rock-always!!Thanx for posting!!!!!!!!

And these drummers should check out the real Master of instrumental drumming Brian Bennett from The best intrumental band in the world EVER The Shadows, much higher class and much more musical and capable of playing in all styles of music. the very first drummer of the ventures was skip moore , he played on the original walk don't run recording. later they had howie johnson and then the legendary mel taylor as you can see on this vid. after he passed away in 1996 his son leon tayler took over.

Always did love this song... a good friend of mine loved it so much he baught a single snare drum.. and practiced it day and night.... when we went to High school. he dropped out in our sophmore year, two weeks into the year. and went into the Army, Three months into a tour in Viet Nam. he was KIA. 17 years old....
