The pistons can attach to his thighs in jackhammer mode to make him look even cooler - I think that's the main reason why they're functional as pistons.

He can't stand in jackhammer mode unless you lean him on his shovel kibble facing 45 degrees up. Or you can always open up the crab legs if you need him to stand.

You can also easily detach the entire shovel kibble in both modes (although it works better for jackhammer) and just have him clean like in the movie. It's cheating, for sure..

Rampage has a brother,Bonecrusher (as seen in the old animated series) Bonecrusher is YELLOW and forms a led of Devastator. Rampage is RED. And Rampage was killed by bumblebee and that was before Devastator came. So theres NO way he formed Devastator.

Actually, Bumblebee fighted Rampage AFTER Devastator formed. Also, in the movie, there's 2 Constructicon for each Constructicon, one that forms Devastator, and another one that has a robot mode and fights alone.
