  • I could do without "Bo-rail" buy I loved Rachel. She was so high octane.

  • I disagree horseaddict. Most people would retire a top class horse like Curlin at 3 and however you get the proceeds from breeding. Look at him winning in Dubai twice, and coming back home to win and then giving his best on turf and synthetics. Which he is breed.does better on dirt.

  • @spam1237 Curlin only ran once in the Dubai. @horseyaddt, As for Well Armed, he was a good horse-won a few Gr I, and II races. Like I say it is always the same song "weak field" crap.

  • from whre do you get this amazing pics?

  • From the Ky Oaks website, google, and the last 2 are stills I took.

  • What a shame for the filly-Rags To Riches -Genuine Risk and Winning Colors were never the same after the Derby.

Why risk the filly against the colts.

Zenyatta didn't run in the Classic and she would give RA all she wants for sure.

  • One- Rags to Riches raced in the Belmont Stakes, she was still the same afterwards, she had been injured in the Gazelle which ultimately led to the end of her career.

Two- Zenyatta has never raced against colts, we don't know how good she is, so fairly we can say RA is better. (RA obviously is still the same because she broke the track record in the Mother Goose and won by 19 lengths)

  • Ugh-I cant belive she was sold to Jess Jackson-yuck. I can see him reasoning in taking her away from Hal..but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It will be much more difficult for me to root for her now.

  • Why does everyone hate Jess Jackson? He is great for this sport!!! Although, there was no reason for him to take her away from Hal. If it isn't broke, don't try to fix it.

  • Well,he annoys me terribly. He gives off this vibe that he thinks hes the best thing thats ever happened to this sport and that he's just such a great almighty god. And now that Steve has her it makes it worse for me. I was never of fan of his either. At least it seems that Calvin will keep the mount. But still....

  • Cheer for the horse- not the stable or owners. That's what I do, and I understand your point.

  • Steve is no worse than Larry Jones. And Jess Jackson is one of the best things that could have happened to this sport. He is thinking in the right direction. It was extremely sporting of him to keep Curlin racing as a 4 yo. You better thank your lucky stars that he owned him, or you most likely wouldn't have gotten to see him race as a 4 yo. Why do people always dislke a good thing?

  • whoa, wait, I never said I disliked him! Who are you talking to?

  • That was to horseyaddicted.

  • ooo sorry I got something saying you replied to my comment sorry

  • That was probably my mistake. I probably accidently clicked on your name instead. You don't have to be sorry. You didn't do anything wrong.

  • Yeah,Im not much a of Larry Jones fan either. But but after Eight Belles at least he has a bit of a reason to be sour . Jess Jackson? One of the best things to happen to horse racing?! You're joking, right? Anyone could have owned Curlin and done the exact same thing as him in a much less annoying attention starved way. Not to mention Curlin's four year old season was overrated. Three year old-no, not at all,but four yes. Just beucase Jess kept him around makes him a racing god? I think not.

  • Most other people wouldn't have kept Curlin around to race at 4. Jess Jackson is good for racing. Jess Jackson is very outspoken about making race day medications illegal. He kind of helped get the ball rolling with that. I didn't say he was a racing god, but he is very good for this sport. Better than 99% of the other owners out there. I guess you didn't want to see Curlin race as a 4 yo? Curlin had his best race as a 4 yo...the DWC. I guess you didn't see Well Armed this year.

  • Well, you cant really prove that-since Jess used all his big cash to buy Curlin-no one ever got the chance to own him as a 4 year old. Good for Jess for speaking out on Meds-maybe he should have a chat about that with his main trainer,Steve. I don't see how Jess is any better for this sport than other big time owners? No,I was excited about Curlin running as a 4 year old. But,his wow factor dropped last year. The DWC? Ha! I'd say his Classic was better. Well Armed is okay+weak field=DWC 2009.

  • Curlin's Classic wasn't better than his Dubai race. His performance in Dubai was amazing. Well Armed won the DWC by 14 lengths. He only won like that because Curlin wasn't in there breathing down his neck every step of the way and got an easy lead. Curlin's stock didn't drop last year. He won a second HOY title.

  • Yes it was. He beat real horses in the Classic. Dubai was good, but I wasn't something I will forever remember.

14 lengths was fun to see,and I love Well Armed but it was a weak field and hes not a very good horse, face it.

    Curlin's stock didn't drop,should have though.

  • would love to see her take on undefeated Zenyatta - who might be tougher than any of the boys

  • Yes, that would be exciting Probably the equivalent of what the Curlin vs Big Brown Breeder's Cup Classic was supposed to be.

  • they said that they mite run her in the laides classic or the classic

  • Oh dayumm. mine that bird is gonna have a run for his moeny if this amazing mare runs in it
