@lotuselanplus2s Sorry for delay I didn't notice it, you don't see the panhard rod because it wasn't a final version, here is a final version watch?v=-XCHwodME_8 ,
wheels: invincible, can not be destroyed by anything, everything, etc...
and its Manoumatic
I mean my whole car cant be destroy by gods, even its end of the world....it wont be vulnerable to all, it cant be squeezed, cant be broke by water, lava proof, meteor proof, and etc..... proof to all hahahaha
And its speed is truly great,,speed of light or it can be lightyear/milisec.
Autocad though it is made by the same company isn't inventor. It's a different program that uses different techniques, however once you learn to use it, it is much easier than autocad as you pointed out how much it sucks at 3-d work.
If you are a student you can get it here students.autodesk (dot) com, if you are not a student you might want to try PRO/Engineer it's much harder to work with but it's available for non commercial usage for about 300$, normally it cost over (don't remember exactly) 10.000US, another option is CoCreate or Rhinoceros you can download demo versions for free.
Excellent model, I have never got around to doing a locost like this so its nice to see one going so well. Are the chassis components all seperate steel tubes, a frame assembly or just solid?
I don't remember exactly how long it took me, I think it's easier, faster and simpler to make assemblies in Inventor than with Solidworks, but the problem is that assembled parts sometimes behave strangely, for example you use same constrains for right and left side, one side works perfect and the other one doesn't without any special reason.
Theoretically you have right but, I've seen some test Inventor vs Solidworks and Inventor was faster in almost every category. Of course solidworks has more tools/options. I have a few weeks to master Solidworks (I have a group project for UNI), so we will see. Maybe I'll change my mind after that. Who knows.
Theoreticly yes, but theory and practise vary sometimes, for example when I was making RC car simulation, I had serious problems with gerbox constrains, funny story is that I had those problems when I was making simulation of the front suspension. And the front suspension isn't connected with gearbox at all. I remember I almost lost my mind.
your toe in is very screwed up, also ur angle is screwed up too. When you steer a car, you want ur inside tire to turn more than your outside tire, urs is backwards.
The only limitations is your imagination and skills and if u dont have them even the best software cant help u. Because software is only tool in your hands.
i use solidworks but i am going to install inventor as well. i mean do you draw the rims with extrude and extrude/cut or with help from a wizard? i realy wanna learn, so i could draw/design things that i realy can't draw with my hands.. but its in my head
Modeling anything in any autodesk software is painful and difficult, regardless of how useless it is. By the way they are all very expensive for most average users and demand a lot of system requirements.Just two words; Rhinoceros and Spaceclaim.
They're both affordable and way beyond Nx, Inventor, solidworks or even catia.
its accually not harder than it looks. Im only 17 and I've been using this program for the last 4 years. Its time consuming doing a big project such as this one though. If anyone wants to become mecanical engineers then I suggest taking a class on 3d parametric modeling, very useful and necessary tool.
i hate to brake everyones bubble but this program is called inventor 11. it says it at the top. I happen to have a step up from that at inventor professional 2008 and whoever said it is harder than it looks is completely right. If you would like this program then email me at nickdagamer@gmail . com before march 7th, 2008. i will help yu get this program and it is completely legal. I called autodesk themselves and they pointed me there. i will share my knowledge with you.
I've never worked with 9 version. Probably u can but I was using frame generator tool and that tool wasnt available in previous versions like 9 so you will have to use other method.
your steering is not controlled with the steering wheel. that is the whole purpose

Making the wheels not perpendicualr to eachother give A LOT of friction, you know?

what sort of student do you have to be? im in highschool
dj7310 2 years ago
I'm in 10th grade..
I know most of the 3D programs and how to use those.. i know how to use autoCAD 100% (i really hate that program)
and i got all the programing programs such as C++, C#, J#, etc.
so it doesn't matter how old you are. or what school you go to..
98michael 2 years ago
So i just use the school email or somthing?

No solids, it's very easy to make a frame with a frame generator tool.
kostucha22 2 years ago
how long does it takes you to finish the assembly?
it's good, i like the front part the wheel turn, it must take you long time to mate them isn't iit???

I think you'r right, but its also depends on the user what he/her like isn't it?
if user know more on SolidWorks/inventor, user will find it more easier than other..
n e ways thanks for discus that

isn't it?

but can you send me the parts and the assembly i've got some great bodywork idea's for it

I'd put it with an independent rear suspension, but I like it. 5/5 Keep up the good work!

PS: I use Rhinoceros 4 and I agree with kostucha22, the software is just a mediator between your hands and your 3D design.

how did you draw the rims? can i draw them in solidworks?
00Mass00 3 years ago
"how did you draw the rims?"
Hard to describe in a just few words do you use Inventor 11?
"can i draw them in solidworks?"
Of course you can but I believe Solidworks is a little bit harder to learn but it has a few extra tools which inventor hasn't.
