Mike Valenti is the best. I'm glad I'm not a Spartan fan. How many times have they lost a game they really could have won? CMU in 09. Notre Dame in 09. Cal in 08. Northwestern in 07. Michigan in 07. Notre Dame in 06. Illinois in 06. Purdue in 06. Michigan in 05. Notre Dame in 04. Michigan in 04. HAWAII in 04. LOUISIANA TECH in 03. Jeez, I could go on.

But I get mine for being a diehard Detroit Lions fan for the past 17 years or so...

What is ironic here, not what Mike said but the song played at the beginning here. It is 'For What It's Worth' by Buffalo Springfield and it came out in 1966. This game that MSU collapsed in was the 40th anniversary of the 10-10 tie in 1966 and the last time the Spartans won a national championship. It was kind of eerie hearing that song.......kind of fitting too.
