Sometimes the shortcut is the only problem with opening body shop. Try going into your start menu, EA Games, The Sims 2, and then inside you should find other shortcut for body shop. Try using the different ones instead of the one on your desktop because if you've downloaded new expansion packs, the original body shop doesn't work.
Restart your computer and bodyshop should open. same problem with me. i have double deluxe too! but now i have pets, open for business, Kitchen&Bath, and H&M Stuff.
