I like the N64 version. For some reason, it's one of the few that I can play and never get tired of. Unfortunately, my mom misplaced my N64, so I have to play on an emulator now. It's not quite the same. D:

When typing the Japanese, "tsu" character on a keyboard you can also type, "tu" and you will get the tsu character. つ

@RissaRoo77 There were some very cool ideas in AWL but I do agree that it just doesn't compare to my experience with this game. Perhaps it was because it was my first HM game, but this will always be my favorite.

looks same as the ps1 version but you can move freely in 64 in ps1 up, down, left, and right only

Marvelous is the one who makes the Harvest Moon games. Marvelous is a Japanese company.

Natsume is just the North American localization company of the games.

In marketshare definitely. Though it is surprising how many solid games were made for the gamecube despite it being a "shitty system". The N64 was good times though. Truly good 3D for the first time.

Hi man, do you have also played HARVEST MOON BACK TO NATURE ON PS1? Its very very simular to Harvest moon 64 but with very nice updates in it and better grafic, so im sure if you love harvest moon 64 you will also love Harvest moon back to nature, its still my favorite HM but after them it is Harvest moon 64. The only thing i dont like in HM 64 is that you have always go into the fucing menu to switch tools or take items, in Back to nature you just push a button and he switch from tool to tool.

You know, I never had the PS1 and never played that game in that form on it. However, I did play a Harvest Moon Game on the GBA called Friends of Mineral Town, which I believe is basically a teched down port of the PS1 game. I liked the game and definitely enjoyed the ability to pull items and tools out with the push of a button. I'm a fan of this set of characters, but it was interesting to see how Kai was different in both games.

I feel that N64 was the last gantastic system. Sure, XBox was fine... but games aren't even games anymore. It's a huge graphic competition. This game was from the era when games were GAMES.

Talk to the master carpenter/woodsman guy. You can find him in his house in the woods most days. Its in front of the cave and a screen over from the meadow. You'll need enough money and wood. Wood is usually the issue, so chop some every day.

Use your axe on tree stumps in the forest. It'll automatically go to your collection as it disappears.

Great Review! I Just Ordered this game off of ebay for $30, which is actually pretty cheap considering how hard this game is to find!
