sundual22 has it right. I used to get bullied horrificaly for every ridiculous excuse you can imagine. Then I started knocking the skin off my knuckles on the bullies faces & suddenly they didn't have any problems with me & wanted to be friends.
yep i agree to, learning to defend your self is a very important part of life and you SHOULD protect your self with some form of defence.
But i wouldnt suggest just going and beating up everyone who ever beat you up to make a stance. i would fight back the next time they did it to me tho and i wouldnt stop till they were down and not getting back up again! thanks for commenting
the gym and karate bullshit does not work unless they are like 15-17 and geting bullied and start training, just get an older kid to take the 12 year old to these bullies and make sure he watches and protects the 12 year old beat the other kids teach them a right good lesson, older cousins or brothers are usualy best for it, sounds nasty but you got to be
Where im from kids get taught by dad or brother on how to fight, if it does not work the dad can knock on the door and batter the other kids dad and the police dont get involved, because its right, when my brothers were 5/6 some high school kids tryed to beat them, i cought all 4 of the kids and watched my little brothers beat them with sticks, teach the kid to kick the guy in the balls and if that does not work pick something up big and very fucking heady and hit the bullies
you right and the worst part is that the police have not done anything yet!
by now one would think a talking too isnt gonna work at least scare them.. but they are still around that play ground and they are still being all mean and nasty about it
This reminds me of something that happened in a park about 2 blocks from my place in Newcastle (Aus, not UK).
An 8 year old kid was held up at gunpoint for his bicycle. Its just fucked when shit like this happens. And the fact that the police usually just sit on their hands doesn't help much, either.
Oh, but don't retaliate, then you're the assailant and you can and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
As for that kid, I don't like his chances, that was well over a year ago and never heard of anything eventuating from it.
Crime like that comes and goes in waves here, we'll have a few months where there'll be gangs and such running around burgling and mugging, then they disappear for a few months then reappear again. A girl I know who lives around the corner here, her TV was stolen twice in as many months.
iagree with you, but when do we shift the blame back on to the kids for they are the ones who are "chosing" to do these actions. Not all bullys come from bad backgrounds, and not all kids who are from bad backgrounds act out like this. When do we stop blaming bad parents and start making the kids responcible

by the time i was 14 i was good enough of a fighter, and strong enough to literally chase away 5 peer 14 year olds.

ive got an idea.
bring your kid into a gym and have him trained, and taught to fight.
infact here in the usa
( philadelphia to be exact) i grew up just like you mentioned, with nobody doing anything about the bullies.
what i would do is build myself up lifting weights until obviously i get bulked up and in far better shape.
today im about 230 U.S. Pounds. from everything i did in the gyms
and i would constantly train to fight, learning new tactics from instructors etc.

You should NEVER stop being angry at this sort of bullshit - it's always unacceptable.

It's awful when this sort of shit happens. Parents need to teach their kids responsibility and accountability for their actions.
