@truth1nessinc well what i meant was is that when you go online you start with the standard gear from the game. but meanwhile all your oponents have absolutely nolifed the game and they have better equipment than yourself. So in my opinion thats kinda awkward cause they do more damage, have better guns. The story was in my opinion very shallow and had no character development whatsoever and your AI teammates and oponents were always acting weird and the bossfights were to easy in my opinion
The reason for using the bumpers was to turn around quickly, since the 8 way aiming is slower than most shooters. All you really needed to do was jack up the sensitivity to a certain degree, and no need for bumpers, although they do occansionaly came in handy.
Finally! A FAIR Lost Planet 2 review. I am an absolute fan of Lost Planet and Lost Planet 2 would have made the first game proud. I would've also given it an 8 if I reviewed it fairly.

Just because you think a game is good, does not mean that reviews of it are wrong. I have played this game and it honestly SUCKS. It is the 2nd worst game I have ever played. When you get to the end of the map or checkpoint, there comes that "Area complete. Continuing in 9 seconds." I hate it. "Gripping gameplay"?? Those two things what I just mentioned stops my gameplay.... I played campaign about 5 minutes and I feel bored.

@watcher9312 well mass effect is on 360, and uncharted 2 hmmmm, xbox will never ever get a game that good on there console, no matter how much they complain about the ps3, it is better, blu ray discs! 25gb and up! uncharted filled that to the rim, i have both consoles so im not a fanboy at all i just know for a fact the ps3 is a much much more powerful machine, the only games that has gameplay close to uncharted is gears of war 2, it feels the same duck and cover kind of gameplay

@scottyjay94 Sorry Blu-rays dont do shit for making a game better. Xbox uses dvds but also uses compression on them,so it equals out. If you don't believe me, then get this, how do you explain PC's which have the best game play and graphics of all, and they dont use blu rays.
@murder00redrum blu ray gives it a better HD, blu rays = 1,920x1,080 (1080p), while DVD is limited to 720x480 (480p). Just PC has the hardware to back it up, along with graphics cards, as xbox's DONT have the hardware or discs
@scottyjay94 Your getting confused with storage capacity and movies. If all that was true,ps3's would dominate in the visual field. Even over PC's. All that matters when it comes to visuals in gaming, is texture resolution, and anti-alising/filtering. And i said before xbox's have compression on dvd's which brings it up to par with uncompressed blu-ray. Dont believe me let your eyes figure it out on side by side comparisons. The discs are just a medium on which the actual data is stored.

massive bosses and awesome weapons? this is awesome! the first lost planet had me up about on how big the bosses were, and this looks even more awesome!
literally this game is pretty much flawless except for the first cat-G u fight. Anybody else ever try this guy on hard mode? If so then you probably have gone through a few controllers and TVs. When the boss can just do a gay little sweeping claw attack and literally kill every single swuad member on the entire map in one hit, it's a little ridiculous. He also does a smash attack which can hit you no matter where u are or what you're hiding behind, even if you roll out of the way, very fail boss
@Grunklefang i beat that boss on hard today by myself with NPCs, i died so many times. it always smacks you off the platform into the river and it counts as a suicide. i don't think his was a very good choice for a first boss, maybe something a little easier.
the real reason to buy this game is the single/co-op campaign when i play with game its great weither its with AI or my real friends and its always a blast for me when im playing this game GO PICK IT UP!!
hey can someone help me out. I played the co-op demo and it wasnt to good. I mean the controls SUCKED that alone made me not buy it. Can someone tell me how long and good the campaign is.
@matt10897 the campaign is a decent length actually. it has 6 episodes, each with 3 or 4 chapters and those chapters contain 4 or 5 missions, although they're usually quite short. the story line though is so awful they shouldn't have even bothered with it. it's a good game if you don't care about what's going on and just want to kill huge monsters.
@matt10897 i like the mechanics and controls in lp2...except the turning 90degrees >.>....but the shooting style and the feel of it is a nice change of pace compared to other shooters. if u dont like the mechanic then ur not gonna like the game

only thing that bothers me in game is that that there is no info about the weapons what so ever, like when you try rocket launcher2 out for the first time only to see that the rockets don't go to the target that you're aiming for but decide to go fly in some other direction xD

This is the most enjoyable and complete review i saw so far about lost planet 2. You thought about everything, separatig SP from MP along with controlls, sound and graphics. I'm giving You a 10/10 in skill of reviewing.

i agree,even i have both the consoles ,but i think ps3 is much better than the 360.ps3 might not have as many games as the 360,but the exclusive games in ps3 are much better than the games in xbox 360.

@watcher9312 well mass effect is on 360, and uncharted 2 hmmmm, xbox will never ever get a game that good on there console, no matter how much they complain about the ps3, it is better, blu ray discs! 25gb and up! uncharted filled that to the rim, i have both consoles so im not a fanboy at all i just know for a fact the ps3 is a much much more powerful machine, the only games that has gameplay close to uncharted is gears of war 2, it feels the same duck and cover kind of gameplay

@scottyjay94 Sorry Blu-rays dont do shit for making a game better. Xbox uses dvds but also uses compression on them,so it equals out. If you don't believe me, then get this, how do you explain PC's which have the best game play and graphics of all, and they dont use blu rays.

@murder00redrum blu ray gives it a better HD, blu rays = 1,920x1,080 (1080p), while DVD is limited to 720x480 (480p). Just PC has the hardware to back it up, along with graphics cards, as xbox's DONT have the hardware or discs

@scottyjay94 Your getting confused with storage capacity and movies. If all that was true,ps3's would dominate in the visual field. Even over PC's. All that matters when it comes to visuals in gaming, is texture resolution, and anti-alising/filtering. And i said before xbox's have compression on dvd's which brings it up to par with uncompressed blu-ray. Dont believe me let your eyes figure it out on side by side comparisons. The discs are just a medium on which the actual data is stored.

literally this game is pretty much flawless except for the first cat-G u fight. Anybody else ever try this guy on hard mode? If so then you probably have gone through a few controllers and TVs. When the boss can just do a gay little sweeping claw attack and literally kill every single swuad member on the entire map in one hit, it's a little ridiculous. He also does a smash attack which can hit you no matter where u are or what you're hiding behind, even if you roll out of the way, very fail boss

@Grunklefang i beat that boss on hard today by myself with NPCs, i died so many times. it always smacks you off the platform into the river and it counts as a suicide. i don't think his was a very good choice for a first boss, maybe something a little easier.

the real reason to buy this game is the single/co-op campaign when i play with game its great weither its with AI or my real friends and its always a blast for me when im playing this game GO PICK IT UP!!

hey can someone help me out. I played the co-op demo and it wasnt to good. I mean the controls SUCKED that alone made me not buy it. Can someone tell me how long and good the campaign is.

@matt10897 the campaign is a decent length actually. it has 6 episodes, each with 3 or 4 chapters and those chapters contain 4 or 5 missions, although they're usually quite short. the story line though is so awful they shouldn't have even bothered with it. it's a good game if you don't care about what's going on and just want to kill huge monsters.

@matt10897 i like the mechanics and controls in lp2...except the turning 90degrees >.>....but the shooting style and the feel of it is a nice change of pace compared to other shooters. if u dont like the mechanic then ur not gonna like the game

Can sum1 please explain the campaign cos 1 minut u r playin as mercenaries then nevec but at 1 point they say we must destroy nevec or waterer. So I don't get it

only thing that bothers me in game is that that there is no info about the weapons what so ever, like when you try rocket launcher2 out for the first time only to see that the rockets don't go to the target that you're aiming for but decide to go fly in some other direction xD
