  • I've seen this video many times over the course of the years, and it still blows me away EVERY time i listen to it.

  • Beautiful. I'm sure I speak for everyone here. Is there more information about you somewhere?

  • Impressive work Sir! I wanted to post this piece on my journal/ blog .... I select piece's from various artist's here on YouTube, known and unknown to post, just for show. If you have any objection's please feel free to contact, you can visit my blog which is called "Politically Depressed the Ranch Chimp Journal" ....

Thank You Sir .... and wish you the best!

  • is your name David German?

  • bravissimo,un vero talento, troppo piccolo per gestire la pedaliera, comunque davvero impressioante la sua esecuzione

  • That was outstanding! I think Bach would be impressed.

  • Fantastic work! This is amongst the best versions I've seen. Bravo! There's a kid in the Netherlands who does a fantastic job as well, and is probably the same age as you. Keep up the great work!

  • 10? Wow..I couldn't play a kazoo with any skill at that age!

  • Cute

  • from memory?

  • I especially like the way he played the last minute of it. People all too often rush it.

  • woo kid, u are so good at this! nice!! =D

  • awesome..

  • o my god! this kid is a prodigy!

  • Great!:-)

  • this kid will be the next mozart

  • OMG. Yours great.

  • Yelsaldier didn't obviously really watch the video. Otherwise he would have never posted his comment.

  • shyyyyyyyyyyt...dont listen to da haters, u did a great job

  • How could you tell a little kid he did terrible at this...what did you do at this age?

  • What did I just watch? I think I might be hallucinating.

  • wow you are fantastic keep it up buddy

  • DAMN!!!

  • Amazing, keep it up!!!

  • grande

  • Marvelous,

Keep up the good work. Far better as I'm playing it. I'm 33 years old but I feel pretty tiny when I hear this masterpiece being played by such a young boy.

    /XtopheS

  • Fantastic - how old are you now? I wish I could do as well.

  • check out my channel

  • I have never been so blown away! What an amazing talent!

  • Anyone notice...... no sheet music?

  • The organ is bigger than him and he's still able to reach the pedals! WOW!

  • Just watched this for the first time. I've been an organist for over 45 years and rarely seen one so young do so well.I just wish the so called experts with their negative comments would do as well with encouragement as this young man does with his playing. I am so very impressed young man. I know the hard work involved in order to do so well. Continue to work hard and your future is assured.

  • bravo!

are you planning any concerts in New England any time soon?

  • Most excellent! You are so talented! Encore!

  • That was stunning!

  • Round of applause :) :) :) :) :) :) Btw where's the church and what is it called?

  • Wow. Good job!

    Frank

  • Bravo! You will make a splendid professional musician one day. In fact, you are already very good. Keep practicing and it will make perfect!

  • Wow kid you got a gift!

  • top turn, do you do weddings!

  • do it on 1 speed but a good 1 not to fast

  • at least someone who just TAKES HIS TIME when needed!!!

    good job, boy!

too many organists rush like there was no tomorrow!

with JS Bach, you just can't appreciate the fast parts if you don't slow down before and after, when required.

    bravo

  • slow = smooth

    smooth = fast

  • Just show this to any concert hall wanting to hire an accomplished organist. You'll get the job! You're doin' it without the sheet music! YOU'RE AN AWESOME ORGANIST, DUDE!

  • Absolutely outstanding. JAM ON!

  • just cool

  • no fajnie....

  • It's a good job you can even play it without the music, because I see the music stand was way too high for you anyway! You're amazing.

  • Congratulations!!! If this was your ability when you was ten y.o., I believe you will be a great musician

  • Woooooow! Way to go!

  • You definitely need to work on changing stops between the toccata and the fugue otherwise very good

  • This is talent, no doubt( and I guess a lot of hard work).Brilliant!

  • You make me ashamed that I gave up the piano at age 11 - I resumed it at 14, together with organ, but I still pay dearly for those three years that I lost.

You are a fine musician, keep it up.

  • This clip has given me enjoyment so many times! You were so young and did so well! And I enjoy seeing your progress in your newer videos - Thanks pianorgano!

  • Bloody hell. That was truely brilliant! Makes me want to take up playing piano again.

    Keep up the fantastic work.

  • It takes both talent and practice, as anybody should know.

  • Nice comfortable tempo, good registration, Keep up the practice, it obviously is paying off for you.

  • enfin quelqu'un qui sait la jouer !

    un peu d'étourderie parfois cependant

  • How tall were you on this video? From the looks of it, you haven't yet reached 5' 0". I'm surprised you reached the pedals and nailed down your footwork.

I'll have to admit that I envy you and I give you all the stars I can.

Those who comment negatively on your performance - their true character is shown in their rudeness.

  • Thank you for your encouragement. I was shorter than 5' when I was 10 years old and could only reach the pedalboard when sitting at the edge of the bench and play with the toes - something like BACH's style :)

  • Um, that is talent! Could you play this song that well at age 10?

  • Very cool! You're a talent! ...with 10 years...amazing!

  • unblieveable for small guy with all the talent. I like to comment him for the excellant work done on this organ. Resonating is perfect. Pedals i did think he can touch them but he did. Bravo for the excellant work done well. Thank you for putting it on you tube because i like it.

  • i really wNT TO PLAY AN ORGAN your quite lucky

  • dude you just completely owned the song

    You have serious talent

  • Not only is this excellent musically, but also mentally -from the top of his head!

I couldn't even play a Chopin Nocturne without notes when I was 18!

  • well that's what you call a prodigy.....

  • Holy cow. I would give my right arm to be as good with the organ as this kid is.

  • MANY organists who have been playing 30 years cant even play tocatta .. this kid is superb

  • hey naysayers...this young man isn't even CLOSE to having the same advanced pipe organ that masters use for this piece...and yet he is absolutely FANTASTIC for this level of skill at his age...by the time he hits 15 or 16 he may well be the best in the world...so Vin...you probably can't even move your fingers that well over your own 'pipe organ'...

  • let's try to keep this pg-rated please. but you're right, naysayers should shut up and watch this wonderful prodigy let his fingers do the magic.

  • ..LOLOLOL..have you seen what 'they' call "PG rated" these days?..LOLOLOL..I got a +3 fer my comment..what CHOO got? :P

  • well done mate. Excellent! I had to wait will I was 18 to play a real pipe organ! it was in Liverpool Catholic Cathedral! The power was immence specially on that low pedal D... Fantastic! Keep up the good work!

  • visualexpert i play it on piano and im only 9!!!! jackass!!!

  • People are just jealous because at 10 they were still doing crap renditions of twinkle twinkle little star and yankee doodle on a piano.

  • Good work.

There is a wonderful Organ, Moller; built and installed 1927. At New York Military Academy, (NYMA) Cornwall-on-Hudson N.Y.,

    Write at your leisure,

    One of the few historical gifts that remain;

  • Your right...you should not joke about this!!!! this boy is very talented, and to make a racist comment like that is not only rude, but very stupid. Anyone who can should play the organ. I don't have the coordination to play, and I really wish i did.

  • true!

  • o.O I do hope thats a joke. >.>

  • How can you say that? Anyone can play the organ and make it sound good, and all those who can should.

  • Il ragazzo ha del talento, ma:

    - Registrazione poco convincente nella Toccata.

    - La fuga è troppo legata e staccata molto lentamente.

    - Alcuni piccoli errori (peraltro trascurabili).

    - Le risposte ai temi non sono fatte abbastanza bene.

    - Il tempo non è molto preciso.

    Comunque, 4 stelle per l'età! Anch'io la suonavo già a 8/9 anni.

  • This young person is very, very good but Bach's music is baroque music and I think that this beatifuel piece should be perform more something like boroque and this young people isn't too adult to perform this piece but he is very talented.

  • Great for 10 years old!

  • No offense to anyone, but I don't see why age has to be a part of it at all. Its good no matter what age he is. I'm sure that if he did not show himself on this recording or say his age, that people would like it just the same.

  • People who look at age as a factor believe that people think differently at different ages so a 10 year old interpretation of a piece could be radically different from how the same person interprets the piece 10 years down the road.

  • Age has everything to do with it! It has everything to do with experience. I agree with those that say this is terrific for a 10 year old. It is! He is WELL on his way. However, I submit that if he is still playing it this way in 10 years, he will have accomplished nothing and this performance would be mediocre at best.

  • This is my favorite organ piece, and think that this young man is just fantastic. It reminds me of a man I know (who is 75 years old) and learned to play this piece when he was 10. What an awsome job.

  • I think that this interpretation is good for a ten years old. i'm from germany and I play pipe organ as well. I would play it in a different way but hes ten years old and i think he did a great job in fact of his age.He should play it more clear, more staccato i think and he often plays wrong notes. the microfon is also on a bad position but its no Bullsh*t xD, its hard to play for a ten years old so keep up the good work !!!

  • daaamn!!! amaing... simply amazing I can only play the tocatta

  • Absolutely amazing! !0 years old, WOW! I'm a professional violinist and am always glad to see, and hear talented youth who appreciate the classics. THERE'S STILL HOPE!! Keep up the great work. By the way, what's your name and where are you from? I'd love to attend a recital if it's not too far.

  • I, well , I don't know what to say... this is fantastic. It's a very difficult piece of music. I'm 16 now and I tried to learn it on my own 6 months ago and I can play it till the fugue so it's not going very well (mabey the fact that I don't have an organ makes it more difficult to :-) it doesn't sound so well either). anyway, you're very talented.

keep up the good work ;-D .

  • Phenomenal!

  • WOW!! that was Awesome for a 10 year old, you played really well, and I am looking forwards to seeing & hearing a lot more of your playing in the near future, and I'm sure it is going to get a lot of attention from the media. Best of luck to you.

  • I'm no musician but it was very acceptable to me, well done!

  • This is excellent. You have a great future ahead of you, musically. You really brethe life and vigour into this piece. Well done!

  • You play this the way it should be played - with great energy and brilliance. There are wrong notes here and there but those can be ironed out. This is such a difficult piece to play well. The sheer joy of your playing is inspiring - a breath of fresh air. My favourite interpretation of this piece right now. I think I was about thirteen when I learned it.You bring it all back. :)

  • good job playing this at age 10. my piano teacher was too scared to give me fugue to play cuz she said it would be too hard for me to play - -;;; needless to say im not a very good bach player. too technical for me though i love listening to it

  • :-/ No bad

  • Bravo! Well Done!

  • Hey me again! Once again I need to say that you play this very well. Im glad I have such a fantastic organ to play this on. I often like to play this on the organ of St Mary Magdalene's in Dundee which is a modern organ but is baroque voiced

  • wow your as old as me=]

    im jealous

question.... is it as hard as it looks

    because im learnin this soon

  • Bravo- what a talent!!

  • there seems very little time for the organ to speak (seems hurried)

  • Awesome, who is this wonder kid?

  • sorry 2 birst your bubble but a litle stlow for my likeing but, and on the ecow part (4.53 mins) u could make each one a bit more disimaler

  • The piece can be played at any tempo the player wants. The only reason why people say this is because they are in too much of a hurry.

  • BULL SH*T

  • Explain.

  • And what makes you such an expert...since you obviously (computer abreviations and typos aside) don't even know how to spell?

  • Not bad at all!!! I wonder how u play now... hmm...

I honestly hate the sound of piano but i love the sound of the organ!!! haha

  • Hope you get to play at St Paul's Cathedral someday. I would sure like to be there to hear you play. God Bless

  • Nice, not bad at all. I'm learning that piece too, but since i only get one organ lesson once a month, its taking me a while to learn. and practing doesn't help much because i also have to practice for church services.

but are u playing a real pipe organ? AND is it tracker? I doubt it, but if it is. nice.

  • compliments.....

    nothing to say

  • WOW!! But what do you prefer, piano or organ?

  • It is great to see that you are so ambitious and apparently willing to work hard. I must say again, you deserve a better organ than that (a PIPE organ, maybe). I hope that you at least have access to some decent pipe organs. I am lucky that the organists/churches in my area are pretty friendly about letting people use the organs, and there are some decent organs in my area (3/44 Casavant, 3/36? Reuter, and a handful of OK ones). Keep up the good work!

  • (another post due to annoying 500 character limit)

You are well on your way to fame. I can't wait to attend a concert some day. ;)

  • Either you're extremely talented or I'm really lazy (probably both), as I am no where near so good as you, having played organ for 6 years. I can play most of this (sightread actually), but I haven't bothered to iron it out, as there are some parts that will take me HOURS to work out. You have made me more ambitious!

How many hours would you say that it took you from first seeing the music to being able to play it thus? God Bless!

  • c'est angélique, il n'y a pas de mots pour décrire ce talentueux interprète.

  • wow!!!! playinh by ear?

  • wow! im jst as good as u!! ur younger than me! WOW well done^_^

  • Simply amazing; few wrong notes when working with pedals, but like you said earlier...you were only 10. it is amazing what you can do when God works thru you...especially musically. this is one of the hardest pieces to play. keep working, and i cant wait to see more you your pieces on youtube!!

you're what...13? now and you are already ranking close to players like Aarnoud De Groen, and Hans-Andre Stamm. Happy Easter, and God Bless

  • im stunned. well played. keep it up.

  • Happy Easter to you! Are you playing for a church service tomorrow? Certainly, I will share "whatever" Bob wisdom remains; however, it is I who could learn from YOU. Your memorization in phenominal (to say the least)!

  • I was sitting here in awe. I did have to giggle a couple times because you could barly reach the pedals. But it appeared that you were playing in the Bach tradition of toes only. I've played this piece, but I'm not brave enough to put it on YouTube. Great work.

  • I agree...you play with the Bach tradition of of using toes only on the pedals. you hardly ever see organists do that anymore...the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Aarnoud De Groen. also like the use of the 'generals' buttons. keep posting. keep playing

  • I am simply "blown away" by this performance! You are indeed a child prodigy ... an amazing musician!

  • Go on lil boy!

    Keep it up.

you will be in Paul Jacobs Juilliard Studio if you do!

  • yea. i was only 10 years old =/.

  • great stuff, youngin. you obviously have a great innate musicianship. may i suggest that you work on articulation?

  • Incredible young performer.
