  • 6:15, oh thanks for moving that as fast as possible really helped.

  • What's up youtube? My name is skinhead, and today I gonna show you my method on how to solve the rubik's cube.

  • PLEASE ANSWER!!! What is the 3x3x3 that you use in the interactive pattern tutorial video????

  • Thanks for the vid but can anyone answer my quesion i have completed one side already how do i complete another side because the completed side wil mess up?

  • aren't the 42 corner algs the algs for cll

  • I wish you would have told us the algorithm. Oh and he didn't find it he made it up. If you watch some of his other vids you would know that

  • i r eally want the algotithms for when ur done with the edges and the middle layer edges arnt orientated where do you find it

  • You really need to slow down especially for the begginers

  • You basically turns into a 4x4, the method

  • you need to make your videos in slow mo!

  • dude, just like to say thanks for the great videos. youve shown me how cool these puzzles can be and i got my first 3x3x3 rubiks cube for x-mas and i finally solved it today.

  • at @8:08, you could just use intuition to solve it using 4 moves if you're accustomed to Roux method

  • PLEASE MAKE A TUTORIAL ITS AN AWSOME METHOD Fridrich's method is to hard

  • this is so old school!

  • Make a tutorial or give the algorithm on how to finish it

  • i like this fellow because you can ask him the same question over and over again and he will allways answer you with a smile... thumb up!

  • Thats a nice rubiks cube what brand is it?

  • Step 1. cut a hole in the box

  • How's Dan browns tutorial?

  • @LightningthunderB if you're not trying to be a speedcuber, it's ok but if you want to learn fridrich, I would recommend badmephisto's beginner's method.

He uses an orient last layer and then permutate it approach that makes it easier to learn 2-look OLL and PLL and then full OLL and PLL gradually, as you can learn some cases and still use his method for the rest of them.

  • Step 2 literally took you like 6 seconds, took me 15 minutes.

  • dear redkb i know u probably don't care but sheck out the rubiks cube rap by destorm

  • What are the algorithms to solve the corners? Step by step..

  • I use the current rubiks brand method which always takes around a minute. Im thinking of finding a new one. I also discovered a method by myself that consists of solving corners like a 2x2 and using a single algorithm to fix all the edge pieces.

  • I like my method for solving this better. The first step is detonating the cube. Problem solved.

  • Make a review on the Lego cube plz

  • This video would have been useful to me when I was learning the Ortega method

  • hey kenneth, back when u were a speedcuber, when u heard about the fridrich method, why didn't you bother learning that?

  • Comment removed

  • @awesomness2011 how am i an idiot...........Dipsh*t

  • @awesomeness2011 how am i am idiot smart one????? ..... Dipsh*t

  • Could you make a full fledged tutorial for the rubik's cube using your method?

  • @TheoPwnage it dont start till aug 10

  • Where is the ANNOTATION!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can you show us a QJ cube with vertex twising

  • hey kenneth, back when you were a speedcuber, why didn't you decide to learn the fridrich method?

  • lol i can now do fridrich and corner's first!

  • You have alot of Rubik's cubes!

  • what cube do u think is the best for speed cubing?

  • @Sport142635 he uses a dayan guhong. their really good

  • I am viewer number 6163.

    *cough cough*

I would like to thank my parents for giving internet connection. Also I would like to thank kennet himself for such a great tutorial in which I was quickly able to click on from my sub box. Also I would like to thank my school teachers for not putting me in summer school so i wouldnt be able to be viewer 6163.

*sniffle sniffle* *cry* I would also like to thank my pet goldfish for...

Nah... just kidding PEOPLE NO BODY CARES WHAT VIEWER/ COMMENT YOU ARE

  • Just it's a teensy hit different

  • That's exactly like how I solved the cube beginners method... Learned it in the rubiks cube book

  • That method looks really difficult to learn

  • are you still a fan of memyselfandpi?

  • Ken, your commentary is kind of a downer! "Again, I don't recommend anyone learn my method . . ."

It's still really cool to see your variation on youtube and it reminds me that I should get around to learning something past the basic layer method.

  • i got confused on getting the 3rd red edge slow down and show more examples. but i still like your vids

  • @extremehardyz123 If you need more help use the beginner method link in the description.

  • @redkb yes i watched the video again and i noticed u said the word "overview" :D

    ok thanks btw :)

  • what cube would u recommend for a person that solves the cube in about 1 minute using the fridrich method?

  • @sm4spidey DaYan Guhong for sure

  • @sm4spidey I'd reccomend a Ghost Hand II or FII. then get a guhong when you're around 25 seconds.(It's a bit too fast for beginners.)

  • Wow, I didn't think anyone solved it the same as me!

  • what puzzle would you recommend to a guy that can solve a rubiks cube in less than 3 minutes?

  • What's weird is that I don't use this method, but I did use it once. I was trying to solve the 3x3 corners first, and solve the opposite side, and then the middle layer. I thought I was the only one that used that method, even though if I used it like 5 times

  • That explains the "red" part of your name. now i think I know why you named your channel Red KB

  • what cube do you use?

  • i realy like how you do come up with your owm methodes you should really get somekind of reward

  • Are those the 3x3x3's you didn't show in your cube collection video?

  • You really do speak clearly (with good grammar too)!

  • Nice! Corners first is awesome! I use a similar method. I solve the corners using the ortega method, place the edges of one side, place the edges of the other side, then solve the midges. I am almost sub-20 with this, and I think it is possible to get some decent times. My PB single is around 16.05 I think.

  • I lost interest in cubing a while ago and started unsubscribing from all cube-related channels. But redkb, I couldnt unsub from you: I just love how you are so creative by coming up with solutions yourself instead of just looking it up. I believe you are a good man and you motivate me in a strange but positive manner.

  • @ccwtree I've learned them all. I'm just fastest with my own.

  • dude why dont you compete anymore???

  • wow that is interesting!

  • wow this methed is awesome i use it all the time now

  • @redkb what is the algerithem?

  • @mysteryskatergirl Use the link in the description for the beginners method for more detail.

  • Comment removed

  • @Redkb srry

  • @redbk What is the algerithems

  • i think it's a good tutorial but why dont u write the algorithms or perform it slower ?? i couldnt orient the edges at the last step !!

  • @moayman1 Its supposed to be just an overview not a tut

  • @moayman1 This is just an overview. It's not meant to be a tutorial. If you need algorithms or want more info, check the beginners method in the description. Good Luck!

  • what cube is that at 2:08? my friend has one. i know its a rubiks brand, but like what type? please answer!

  • @cityzach Rubik's brand from late 90s or early 2000s. It was bought in the USA but has the wrong color scheme.

  • @redkb oh ok thanks!

  • how can i solve the orange edges to the right position?

  • @kacs96 For more detail use the link on the beginner method in the description.

  • @redkb

    thanks :)

  • just so you know, I believe Fridrich is pronounced like Fridrick. im not sure, but that is how ive always heard it pronounced.

  • What kind is the cube you used to demonstrate step four?

I have the same type of cube and i want to know how old it is.

  • @macbookfan33 It's a Rubik's brand from the late 90s or early 2000s.

  • That tricky step 4 is how I avoid the edge parity on 5x5+

  • you confused me....

  • how is your leg

  • @HeyDEDEshow I developed a blood clot from inactivity after surgery. A piece of it went to my lungs. I'm lucky to be alive!

  • @redkb wat happened to your leg?

  • @MidgetMan14xxEClipse I tore my ACL playing soccer. I had knee surgery and then complications after surgery.

  • @redkb Holy crap. Are you ok now? I feel terrible, but I never knew anything was wrong D:

I really hope your Ok now. And also, I love your method! Despite what you say, I may change from the "beginners 7 step" to yours.

  • @7pulford I should be fine now. I'm on a bunch of drugs to thin my blood so that I don't have another piece break from the blood clot and flow to my lungs.

  • I don't have any white edges in the middle row, what do I do?

  • @42blackhawks At 3:43 there were no red edges in the middle layer. So I took the red/yellow edge out of the right layer and put it in the middle layer. Then I solved it from the middle layer to the left layer.

  • @redkb THANKS SO MUCH!! I couldnt figure out what to do. BTW, nice tutorial!

  • hey how do you lubricate your cubes??

  • Can you adopt me please?

  • FINALLY!

  • How fast are you?

  • wvb93 just got told!!!

  • i know how to do this and it is what i think the best way

  • nice!

  • The Rubik's Cube isn't even 40 years old. Minh Thai held the official world record from 1982 to 2003 with 22.95 seconds. You should check your facts before leaving such ignorant comments.

  • @redkb One more question, you didn't really tell the algorithm for orienting the last edges, could you post the algorithm in a reply comment to this??

  • @42blackhawks M U M U M U2 M' U M' U M' U2. The link in the description for the beginners method should give you all the detail on this method you need.

  • @redkb actually the rubik's cube was invented in the 70's as the magic cube then became the rubik's cube in 1980 worldwide

  • @wvb93 LOL FAIL OMFG learn to know Rubik's facts.

  • @wvb93 ... no...

  • @wvb93 FAIL -insert manly man voice here-

  • hi

  • this method is also the same as solving the 5x5 right? i mean the keyhole method. not the corner method.

  • NO!!!

Not fridrich!! Roux is better. Seriously, take that link away.

  • @LHCBlackHole roux is not better. It is just as good.

  • @AquadianEffect Sad face.

  • is that a guhong?

  • 3rd like

  • 10th

  • ill try saying sixth but im sure more comments have been posted...

  • i have a book with this method its a 1981 book by patrick bossert its called "you can do the cube"

  • your method kinda reminds me of the blindsolve method :P

  • CORNERS! <3

  • awesome!! :DD

  • second ;P

  • woot first viewer

  • @DavidNancyTom No your the hundredth viewer, you dont know how much redkb watched it ;D

  • 1st!

  • @redkb haha epic! You firsted your own vid xD

  • @redkb CORNERS 1st!

  • @redkb again?
