Windows Seven is the very best operating-system i've truly ever before ran. My buddies and I downloaded it totally free from Windows7FreeDLXcom (replace X with . ) and have never had any issues!

Pelo menos não tem aquela frescurite de um micro com Ubuntu levar mais de um século pra abrir, porque a cada versão lançada há um monte de programadores e hackers trabalhando por trás disso tudo, pra minimizar quaisquer erros, lentidões e bugs. Eu concordo com o colega: O que vou fazer no Ubunto depois do boot? Se fosse apenas navegar na internet, com aplicações na nuvem, ok. Mas e meus jogos exclusivos para Windows? E meus documentos do Word que saem desconfigurados no Write? Mas também não tenho R$600,00 pra dar num Win original. Acho o Ubunto uma boa alternativa caso a Microsoft realmente bloquear os piratas no Win7. Mas por enquanto apenas isto, uma alternativa.
Something isn't right on the windows side of this. On a month old install of 7 with several programs launching at startup my computer boots faster than that and i have VERY modest specs.
basically linux is far more faster than windows BUT the booting time is not important that much with windows I can do more things easily faster and smoothly !
for me on win 7, I "as a user" can do whatever you can do on ubuntu + Extreme Gaming, stable OS, great apps eg: photoshop, maya, 3D max......etc & support.
but for ubuntu you will only stay and play with compiz !!
Well I play TF 2, run photoshop and Maya all faster on linux than on windows. My rendering times on ubuntu 64bit are about a quarter of the time compared to windows xp 64bit. This is the main reason Dreamworks and Pixar rely so hevely on linux. Plus no virus, malware cleaning and spyware. I also find that ubuntu tends to open many more files than windows, if there is a file format out there some one has writen a app or converter to open it on ubuntu.
Stable? *cough* yea right. Ubuntu's WAY more stable the Stupidsoft Windows. You CAN do extreme gaming on Ubuntu, Gimp is Ubuntu's photoshop. Many LARGE companys such as airlines, Pixar and Dreamworks RELY on Linux.

All the people says the Ubuntu runs slow.
Try installing with in a ext4 partition. Don't use 'Wubi' to install Ubuntu.

linux runs them with wine and fails.
