hey, Nancy Spero is great---a teacher of mine here in graduate school has a few pals who made a VERY GOOD documentary on Spero's late husband, LEON GOLUB who FINALLY got appreciated by the "high" art world late in his life--he's made STRONG political-truth-telling paintings for years on subjects of government(s) who support torture & dirty little wars like Nicaragua/Reagan-Ollie-North related scandals; Golub's art got more sarcastic as he got older but kept it's brilliant edge^_-, Peace, rob=][=
well i think you mistook my simple enjoyment as a sort of disrespect towards Nancy; gee, they spent their life together & also, the film i'd seen had showcased both of them, hence i was just happy to be thinking of their connection.. ALSO, my guess is that Nancy would not have been defensive about this... Maybe i had too much caffeine & just rambled on a bit about Leon; BTW, my FIRST FIVE words in my comment were: "hey, Nancy Spero is great."

I saw a disgusting piece of art done by this person, "Masha Brushkina".
I can not really describe the rage it made me feel--only unfeeling, immoral American could make this piece.
The piece display guerilla fighter war Hero who fought against Nazi and was executed--painted as naked porn-like body.

yes, Leon was great: a great artist and friend.
But this video is about Nancy.
They are not the same person.
Nancy was also great.
