The guys at Square Enix were going bankrupt and decided to make one last game, their "Final Fantasy". They didn't expect to get so much money out of it and got out of bankruptcy and decided to milk the series as much as they could.

There's a lot of old stuff and new stuff that people are making with old 8-bit instruments -- there's quite a scene for it, you should check it out. Many (such as the group 'Anamanaguchi') even use original NES instruments in their songs (although the COmmodore 64's SID chip is the most popular, it seems.)

@slimshady0297 I don't really miss 8-bit music. However I do miss the lack of originality when it comes to new RPG music though. They all have the same orchestrated cliched "epic" sound to them. Why is it wrong to have electric guitar or synthesizer sounds in new RPG music??? Is there some kind of unspoken law that if you were to think outside the box that no one will buy your game?? Too many companies cling cliched methods which are eventually going to be going out of style...

After playing this version after the remake, its hard has heck, I don't think they directly lowered difficulty but some changes like fixing the bug where your character attack air when an enemy dies fixing and other stuff getting fixed makes a difference.

The new games are bad, except for FF X i actually have to admit i loved that one. But the new ones just focuses on graphics and no story. Wich means we will have a game with awesome graphics but bad story and its the story we play Final Fantasy for. The new FF12 and FF 13 have excatly no backstory for the characters and no interesting plot.

I have to disagree with you about the plots... FFXII and FFXIII have actually pretty good plots, but they are paced terribly. I think if the pacing was a bit better and there were more relative things going on, it wouldn't be so bad.

As for characters, I have to agree with you about XII. I thought XIII's characters were pretty good, actually. They had more development than FFVII's characters, that's for sure. Plus, they actually had a reason to fight the antagonist...

Okey so its not about how bad the story is in for example FF 12 but it moves way to slow also it would be better if it were voiced a bit more in my opinion as for FF 13 to be honest i haven´t played it but i´ve seen my friend play it and the thing i have to complain about that is the battle sytem to... Wait, you're complaining about a game you haven't played? How much of the game did you see? Because the story doesn't pick up until about halfway through, and the battle system sucks until Chapter 3 when you can shift Paradigms and develop more strategy. All you do for the first two chapters of FFXIII is Attack. But is that any different from the previous Final Fantasy battle systems? All you do is press X to select attack and push down for certain things. I don't get the hate.
