What controls the direction? Some electric/magnetic track under the board or is it the old Eheim system where the wire height differs in curves?

out of curiosity, if you touch the wires is it dangerous or just small jolts?

@stakeee - Not sure if it's 12V DC or 15V AC, but either way, it's not dangerous. You wouldn't be able to sell it otherwise.
