Thanks so much for making these! I'm starting high school and I want to be a corporate lawyer when I'm older. These help me see what it will be like when I get into law school! What law school are you attending? I want to go to Harvard.
I been having couple of questions for you i hope you have time to respond to them i had post them maybe 2 weeks you uploaded this video. Apart from those questions i wanted to know i you had applied to participate in a law competition, and if you havent apply why havent you?
i just saw a video of one of those competitions and i just wanted to know if you had participated in one of those.
Hi, Shawnee! Thank you for making your videos. I am starting law school in the Fall, and I have found your videos incredibly informational and motivational. In one of your videos, you mentioned you had an internship with a law office after high school. I was wondering if you had any advice on how to approach or search for offices that can provide internships.
Thank you for this. I'm in law school too, one more year to go, like @xxthecometxx I also lack motivation. It would be great to know how you do get your motivation. Thanks again. God bless :)
hey, i'm currently in law school also and recently am finding it hard to get motivated to study.. any chance you could do a video on how to stay motivated because you mentioned in a previous video that you are a very self motivated person :) thank you
Hey im going through 7th grade right now and i now that its early to think about it but i really want to be a lawyer but i do not think my grades are good enough. What should i do?
Hello, can you talk about social life of students in law school; do they have the time, and if yes, do they only socialize with other law students, or poeple outside of the law universe? thank youu.
Hey! I just literally finished all your videos and its 2am here in Spain..! I finished spanish law school last year and im going to study an LLM in US law. I dont know if you have met enough LLM or foreign students, but maybe you could talk a bit about it.
I also agree with those comments asking for make up routines (It sounds superficial but is helpful too!)
I cant wait to start!!!
Im curious about your friend's funny blog (you talked about it in another video) , is it about law school too?
and another thing i am 100 agree with you just because you go to law school doesnt mean ur come a bad greedi person that really dumb whoever said IM NOT IN LAW SCHOOL YET BUT I WILL BE THIS FALL 2012 AND BELIEVE ME I LOVE TO HELP PEOPL THAT WHAT I WANT TO BE A LAWYER AND IT HAS NATHING TO DO WITH THE MONEY...
i knoe it kinda sound weird but can u do like a make up routine of what you wear for class the court work ,, clothers attire.. it weird but i really need ideas to attend law school.
I'm in my second semester, and doing a vblog as well :) just found yours. Hey, you have lost a lot of weight since you started! You are graduating, congrats :)
hi! 1L here. could you possibly share how you actually study/read on an everyday basis as well as note taking at home. Also share how you split your time between school and the internship. I'm working at a law firm as well as going to school and I always get home extremely tired and wait until the late evening to start my work. Any tips on how to make most of my time and get to bed early for once?? thanks!
Hello Shawn, i want to thank you again for doing this videos.
A couple of months ago i send you a message regarding your age, i was confused because i believe that in one video you mention your age and the year in law school that you were in. I believe that you said that you were going to be 22 or 23 when you graduated law school, i think that will be a good small topic to talk in one of your videos because its at age 22 or 23 when most people are entering law school. How you did it?????????
One thing I suggest as a topic of discussion is there is a theory that when you go to law school that the way that you think will be diffrent. Has that happened to you and ways to stay humble when it does happen. Thanks for the diary. You cleard up alot of unanswered questions. Good luck on your last semester of law school. I know you will do great. Xoxo
More experience & thoughts on your internship are welcome. It's certainly not "boring law stuff." The irrelevance of the lsat & law classes seems to obscure the reality of what it's like working as a lawyer.
Re: dishonest lawyers. Criminals, shady people, & good people exist in every demographic, the profession is irrelevant...unless you're a hit man.
Obviously getting an extra degree would make your life harder. A better question is "is it worthwhile to pursue law school?". How much debt is your education worth? A top 15 school may be worth 140k in student loans but a tier 3 school would not be worth it!
Hi! I think your videos are very helpful! I was wondering if you could do a video on time management and how you organize your time to get all your law assignments done. I'm a university student as well with so many papers due and I find it difficult to keep up sometimes. Keep up the awesome videos!!
hi Shawnee, I hope you're alright. I was wondering if you use the same kind of dialog (simple/normal words and expressions) at school while debating, or you need some sophisticated words or sort of academic way of speaking..:)
Hi Shawn! I love your videos! A lot of us 1L's are just getting our first semester grades back - what do you suggest for those of us who are facing the harsh reality of being graded on a curve for the first time? And what, in your opinion, is a "good" grade/GPA to have in law school?
Hi Shawn! I would like your advice. I am currently majoring in Political Science at a Cal State but now that i'm half way done, I feel that it is not a competitive major. Perhaps I could get admitted into a law school, but after I go looking for a job I feel that my chances of getting hired are harder because I don't have knowledge in another field.
What do you suggest majoring in undergrad to become a competitive applicant for post-law school? (p.s I'm interested in going into ImmigrationLaw)
Also about the thought of the debt that a law school will have racked up (esp those living away from home). Supposedly with interest rates, the total debt will be around $350k! More than half of the average tuition...!
Hi Shawnee! I am a medical student and after seeing your videos, I am tempted to get a law degree after i finish my residence. Your videos are so good! Good luck in the future and congrats for your job!
So as far as I understand, in law school you do full time school during the fall and winter/spring semesters and then internship during the summer? and this goes for all 3 years? are the internships mandatory? Do you ever have to take courses in the summer as well?
just finished my first semester of my 1L year and everything went great!! i really appreciate your help with everything! & i TOTALLY agree about getting the grades you want the most last. It was SO stressful waiting for grades. almost worse than studying for finals.
and for the comments on bad lawyers (to however wrote and commented) I completely agree their are a lot of bad lawyers. Here's what I think of this: People are corrupt if they choose to be; it all depends on what standards they hold themseleves too. And if your passionate about disliking bad lawyers, all the more you should strive to be a good lawyer. Their is a such thing as reporting individuals to the bar association and if you see some sort of injustice happening you should report them.
Great job and congradulations on finishing up this semester! I think it's very honorable and compassionate to take some time and share your expereinces with us (people planning on going to law school). I look forward to more videos. Just recently I was told that you do not have to go to law school to become a lawyer. Have you ever heard of that before?
Thanks for the videos. I had a couple of questions. I am currently an engineer thinking about patent law. I have my BS and MS in engineering and a couple years work experience. Do you know any engineers in your classes and if so how was their transition? I realize it's probably a case by case thing but I was curious if you had any thoughts. Is patent law in need right now? I know with the economy times are rough.
@nloukas2323 I do know a few engineers. I'm not sure about their transition, but I can tell you that having a science degree AND a law degree is quite possibly the MOST attractive thing to firms right now. That is pretty much the only sector of law that is not struggling, and is in fact growing. So you're definitely on the right track!
Nice to see a new video! I love your channel. I'm currently going through the law school admissions process and had a quick question regarding numbers and your actual law school experience. Do you feel your LSAT score was indicative of your 1L performance? (I'm not necessarily asking for your score unless you'd like to share.)
@QWEENB523 I had a pretty good LSAT score, but I definitely struggled my first year. It's quite a transition from undergrad. The LSAT is basically just an aptitude test, whereas law school actually requires you to understand the material you're working with and be able to apply it.
Hi sweety I'm currently working on my B.A in jurisprudence and I plan to go to law school I am so happy I found your channel...I hope you did well on finals and I wish you luck in your career

Get a 3.7+ GPA. Score a 160 or higher on the lsat and you will be competitive. Also get some leadership positions.
