@miabeatz80 Sorry, what is a refill file? I suggest you take both rar files and tell them to "extract here", I hate it when uploaders put multiple rar file inside rar files.

I have a question I downloaded 7-zip so i could take my downloadedmusic from sites and put them on my windows media player . Im not a techy so whenI DL'd 7-zip and it still said windows media doesn't support this file type or extension I got frustrated . @EmZeeStrange Ok, we will get to the bottom of this pretty easily. You downloaded the music. What is the file extension for it? I mean, is it a whole album and it came in one file as a .rar or maybe as a .7z? If you open up 7-zip, you can extract the archive. Afterwards, you should have .mp3 fies or maybe .wma files. Windows media player should then be able to play it afterwards. If you get stuck, let me know. - Versatile

How to extract multiple movie files mostly RAR? The 1st. one usually OK. The 2nd. one can' pass integrity test or is corrupted. So maybe there's 4 o 6 files and all I can get is the 1st. one.

@9M1Y6 Why do you have any reason to make to make 7-zip or any similar program extract ISO files? You have zero need to do that. Granted, daemon tools will still mount the ISO file fine, but its about not extracting the wrong stuff by accident. - Versatile

@gamedexterity I have only just started downloading game files and am used to dealing with iso,wbfs and single rar files. But a folder full of split files kinda stumped me- 1st thought was to extract all of them but it is now very obvious that is not necessary. You did not address multiple rar files though. I have just downloaded a file in 67 parts, all rar files. Using winrar do I just select 1 of them & exctract files? Thanks :)

@BlueBloodTasty Do not understand your question. If it is a .rar .r00 .r01 up to .r66 or something like that, then extract the .rar only. If you are saying you have 67 files of .rar, then that is a very weird setup. They are not numbered? Extract the 1st one in the series if you can. Just experiment and let me know. - Versatile

amazing tutorial i'm definitly new the archive thing. i'm currently trying to burn some wii games via dvdr and this helps much.. i'm using imgbrn to burn the files have yet to successfully burn a compatable disk and hopefully this solves my problem. i'm not sure if your familuar with softmoding but i recently did it about 4 months ago and the usb loader is great for renting games and making a fullproof digital copy of them but now that im expanding to actually dl them im having a bit of trouble

The KGB archiver is the most powerful but 7zip is the best archiver, good compression/time, the second in term of the compression power...
