  • So what happen to the excess skin after weight loss can u tell me about it. thank you

  • Thanks for this video! I needed to see this I was banded on 9-21-09 and I'm 16 pounds from my goal, but I've been bouncing around the 160's for weeks now despite my hardcore 360 minute a week spin/weight lifting workouts and the reason is why is because things you describe. Most of this battle is in our HEAD! What is your facebook you tube page?

  • This was so helpful and that quote is now on my white board. We have had years of learned behaviors and bad behaviors where we think a mistake means we're doomed, but that's not the case. Thank you so much!

  • yay you actually completed the couch to 5k within the 30 minutes!! woot woot!! I feel like you were speaking directly to me in this video. I was having those mental struggles, and I LOVE the quotes. Thank you so much for your insights.

  • Great Video Katie. Thanks for sharing...totally needed this. Seems like we are all hitting bumps. But regardless of my speed bumps, I'm going to keep on driving....thanks!!

  • Thank you Katie! I needed to hear this. Im only 4 months post op. Lately I have been struggling with staying on track. I'm a stay-at-home mother of 3 boys ages 8,6 and 4. Now that they are home for the summer it is hard for me to stay on track. It takes a lot to maintain them and keep up with my eating and exercising. It is a chore to keep track of meals, calories, protein and exercise. It takes a lot of planning my schedule and the kids. But this video calmed me down. Thank you!!

  • great video Katie! love the earrings! you will get to 155 lbs!

  • its been one year and I can't get down to 180

  • Great video, good advice. Thanks for sharing your journey!

  • Great Great Great Video......

  • Girl you always seem to tap in to my current situation and help me by sharing your issues ,I totally mirror your mental in those tuff times.

  • Fantastic video! Thanks for being so honest!

  • Once the "honeymoon" of the surgery is over, these are the issues we deal with. I like the speed bump analogy. I would like to get back on the interstate and avoid all of those speed bumps, but as long as I keep driving.... Katie do you have Kik? If so, I'm Melissa Losesitall or Melissalosesit (not sure which one). I'd love to join you guys in your journey to lose these last few pounds. We are so close, and we will get there - even if we have to take turns carrying each other!

  • @Melissalosesitall Melissa I sadly don't use Kik, still with my current blackberry using BBM. But I'll see you on facebook ;)

  • Part 2 by the establishment. #2. You saying "it is going to happen again". It is! Like most addictions, we are going to be exposed to it again and will need to learn strategies to combat those strong compulsions to get pulled back in. Finally, the tattoo. I feel the same. I want one but in the back of my mind, I am terrified that I will not be able to maintain the loss and will have that constant reminder taunting me of what a failure I was. Now THAT is a negative PMA. Lets do it!

  • Absolutely loved this video. Three key points really hit home for me. Your husband saying you are "breaking yourself of an addiction". This feels so right to me and understanding addiction, this will be a life long process. The key for me is understanding that my binges which are my bodies reaction of trying to pull me back into the addiction are triggered by physical processes (eating carbs) and not mental processes (not having PMA or no willpower) like we have been taught

  • Great video girl. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but you and I were only a few days apart with our surgeries. Your journey has been one of much influence to me. You're going to see goal soon, I can feel it. I still have about 90 to go but I'm still hopeful I can reach mine eventually! Kudos to you on all the hard work you've put in! You're amazing!

  • Super smart video--super smart girl. Love you up! Found myself saying "in the words of Katie, 'shut the front door'" in conversation this week. I don't kid. Spin class--I'm a fan. I'm a fan of bike trails/rail trails too. Mucho fun. Digging your style-as always. You are a fashionista! Much love!

  • Hi Katie,

This video evoked emotion I was not prepared to express. I had to make a video response to express my heart. Thanks for your encouragement.

  • Well said. We all make mistakes you just have to pick yourself up and move on to the next day. Thanks for being so inspiring.

  • excellent! i sent you a text! Onward! 160's in 2 weeks.. . .full steam ahead.

  • Thank you so much for this video. The raiding the kitchen late at night when I'm alone is something I have done for who knows how many years...and am now trying to stop. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone!

  • thankyou... i really needed to hear this.

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!! thanks! :)

  • I wanted to thank you for this video. I had my lab band on the 26th of April and have lost 30lbs. I have 45 more to goal weight. This week has been very hard for me and I feel off track. I have been eating things I know I should not and making excuses not to exercise. This video has made me feel like I am not alone. I'm getting back on track. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep up the good work!!

  • I am curious how tall you are? I am about to have my surgery next Friday :-)

  • Great video! You look great! Good head on your shoulders!

  • Thanks for your video. I think this is very important for the entire wls community to see. We are not perfect. And we've all got to realize perfection is an unobtainable goal. We must change our minds and our vocabulary..better. We should want better from ourselves! Thanks sweets!! Great vid!

  • Awesome! I have been struggling with this issue all week. Thanks for your honesty.

  • Keep driving that car!!!!

  • You look flippin' fantastic and you're doing awesome. Your positive mental attitude is amazing. Keep up that attitude!! Love Janine

  • If you had to do it all over again would you pick another wls option?

  • Great 5K time...keep that energy running!

Yes, you are that Cute Girl of your dreams, and you will stay that way! Keep making exercise one of your main focal points

  • everyone that watches this video can relate.....Im glad to hear its not just me......I wish you much much effort........

  • Awesome video Katie! Seriously needed at this point for me...I really loved your highlighting your running nsv! Those ARE the awesome moments as the numbers start to dwindle...now the true fitness of it all kicks in! Congrats to you...I'm at 176 btw and am ready to sprint to that 160s block!

  • What a great video! I was just sleeved last Monday and I can already tell my journey will be FULL of speed bumps b/c of the major food addiction I have. I always find motivation from your videos and that quote you have on your fridge will now find a place on mine! Congrats on your amazing transformation, body and mind!!

  • I look forward to these videos! Hey I tried to do my first video and it was an epic fail. I have a Mac Pro what program can I use with this computer because I soooo tried....

  • I'm so glad to see this, Katie. If you ever get to that point again, hop on FB. There's usually a few of us on at that hour. That's usually when I make my videos anyway. Thanks for sharing! <3
