i dig the yellow shirt. is that an alligator on it? i hope so, cause that proves clothes, looks, or weight doesn't make or break the music. let the playing do the talking and you effing rock. one of my all time fave songs and you killed it. man you killed it. pretty damn cool. thanks for the video.
I'm coming over to kick the cunt out of yer mother! Maybe then she'll stop spitting out deformed inbreeds like you. Play the song right, ya filthy jew! I bought a jar of applesauce last night and fucked it silly.
Nice work man! Ratt riffs were never easy to duplicate because of so many off the chart string pulls and chord bends in lot of their music, primarily due to the extraordinary skills of Warren DeMartini, who I always believed had to play "down" to the rest of the band. He was that good. Excellent job!
I love this!! Brings back MANY memories. Ty for playing this Aarroneous. You rock!! Long live the 80's (and big hair, Camaro's, Pontiac ProAm's, Cigarette boats...you get the idea).
Nice! So great to see the youth appreciating and bringing back the 80s style. Ratt's one of my favorites, no doubt. Love their blues metal mixture. Now let's hear some Dokken!
Freekin tight bro!!! I don't think Ratt has a bad song. It's too bad grunge took the focus off metal. I'm sure Ratt would have been alot bigger without Nirvana and Pearl Jam gettng in the way.
im 15... andi am in love with 80's hair metal..more than mboth of my parents together! i love this stuff! and ratt is one of my favorite bands next to Motley Crue, Poison, Whitesnake, and Van Halen.. ROCK ON, BRING BACK GLAM! XD
That's actually Nuno Bettencourt's Wasburn (N4 I'm guessing) or at least is the same body style and headstock. It does look similar to one of Demartini's natural finish guitars though.
I went to another screen and had no idea that there was another guitarist playing until i closed the screen..... now if that is not a good endorsement I am not sure what is
killer video i always wanted to learn this song ever since i first heard it i always tell my friends that they should listen to it and they say 80's rock sucks and i say fuck off.....another great song to learn would be "wanted dead or alive" by "bon jovi" i love the solo in it its my favourite..can you play it too??
I love this riff... very well done! And your tone is PERFECTION. I use this riff in the opening of my "How to Pose Like an '80s Rockstar" guitar lesson. Check it out man, but be warned - once you start using my poses, you will be spending more time using your guitar to fight off chicks than you will rocking! LOL
I don't usually like to watch too many of these amateur performances, but this one was A+...great song, and extremely well done, does it justice, and great great sound, perfect distortion. God I miss the talent of the 80's. This song always looked like it'd be such a challenge to perform per Warren's style, so I never attempted it. ;)
Excellent work. For the run of sixteenths that start at 2:40, do you bar the 8th and 10th frets as you decend? Or, do you pick the notes seperately? I am trying (with no success) to alternate pick them one by one, and in your video, its too fast to see, just like the pros. Help a frustrated fan out!
All the notes get picked individually, but with a palm mute for the staccato effect. Also, for that section, I start with an upstroke (a la Paul Gilbert) so that you start on the "outside" of each string.
I think Warren actually plays them all with down strokes (at least in his video).
now thats a real cover of lay it down! best one on youtube atm. but watchout, mine is comin in a week or so once im done exams and i got my guitars back!

Hi There. Great job! Just curious... What amp are you running the yellow jacket equipped el84's through? I've got a Marshall TSL122, and am considering the THD Yellow Jackets to tame down the output for home use...
Yeah, the THDs sound okay. Some people really like the "Ultimate Attenuator" but those actually use active electronics to replicate the signal going to the cab. You can check out treetopper's videos (Todd Duane) to get an idea of how it might sound.

But everyone asks you that, and it can get a bit...,well..., NERDY!

2. Car or motorbike?
3. Relaxing holiday or active?
Best wishes!

Excellent work. For the run of sixteenths that start at 2:40, do you bar the 8th and 10th frets as you decend? Or, do you pick the notes seperately? I am trying (with no success) to alternate pick them one by one, and in your video, its too fast to see, just like the pros. Help a frustrated fan out!
hager333 2 years ago
All the notes get picked individually, but with a palm mute for the staccato effect. Also, for that section, I start with an upstroke (a la Paul Gilbert) so that you start on the "outside" of each string.
I think Warren actually plays them all with down strokes (at least in his video).
