@ni99anugget Have you checked on the BT website to see what the max speed on the line is? If the results you've posted are significantly lower I'll be happy to help :)
Seriously why is it so slow, my friend across the road like 20 meters away from my house can download stuff at 1mb per second easy. Mine downloads at 200kbs..
i keep having problems with my bt home hub, it keep's randomly disconnecting and when i go downstairs to check the lights there all blue! but i cant connect to the internet?
@MrHellodylan123 Thanks for your message. We're working closely with Openreach to provide BT Infinity to the majority of the UK but it will take some time as I'm sure you will appreciate. If you'd like I can send you a PM with a link you can use to register your interest in the service?
My line speed is 3,456kps, but the internet speed is horrible at around 350kps ive tried restarting the home hub and nothing my home hub is right next to my room what should i do
Friend on virgin: £15 and his dl speed is like 18mbps! He downloads 1GB demos in less than half an hour! It takes me a WHOLE day and that BT infinity advert is pure BS. No BT infinity for Gloucester...
@feedingfrenzy123 We're working on rolling BT Infinity out to more and more areas, keep an eye on our website - it will be updated when plans for your area become known
It's likely your IP Profile is 10618 kbps. Your actual throughput/download speed will always be less than this. I would suggest that if you have a wireless connection to use an ethernet cable as this may enhance speed. Also what time of evening are you running your tests? If it is peak times then there may be a bit of congestion on the network which can slow your speeds. Run a test before 5pm or after midnight and let me know how you get on :)
bt is expensive and EXTREMELY SLOOOW it takes about a 1minute to load a page now the video cant even start the speed i was supposted to have is 7 mb but i have 0.30-1mb
@McMIxTER Is your speed always this low or to you notice it mainly at any particular time of day? What diagnostics have you tried so far - theres a video on our page to do with slow speed issues but also some text articles on our own website - let me know and if you are still no further on we'll take this issue up for you :)
@BTCare on my laptop i get almost 2 mb's always on my pc i now get 0.02mb's :( and its always like this im will try reinstalling my windows but still i should get 7mb's not 2. and my signal is very bad and router is in my living room and its very close to my room i tried restarting my hub but nothing
@dkconor Youtube is just one way we try to help our customers. If you are having problems running the videos you can try our website, alternatively you can always PM us here with some more details about your speed issues :)
please answer can the home hub 2.0 get a virus? because once i think i got a virus and the broadband light flashed orange then red, and the internet wouldnt work so we had to install a new hub? can you tell me any ways the hub can stop working or get a virus?
@xFraza The Hub itself has a hardware firewall and BT Broadband Option 2 and 3 customers get access to a software firewall also which makes the set up very secure. The flashing lights could be a couple of things - either an intermittent broadband signal issue or an authentication issue. If you are concerned do run a virus check on your computer.
How come when I checked my speed on the BT website about 1 month ago it was up to 13meg and I checked it today and it's 7.5meg. What caused the change? was the database wrong at the time I checked last?
@THOGaming The availability checker is updated continually so you will see changes in the estimates as new information about your line is added - I've dropped you a PM :)

It's all good making videos on YouTube, but if customers have problems with their speed, how are they meant to download the video.
