  • Looks like a young Don Johnson at 1:31 .

  • I want to kiss the man who said he liked it more than Cries and Whispers.

  • Why the hell is that black dude at 0:39 wearing a miners helmet?

  • @AgrilledDuck i wear helmet where ever i go. mine is made out of carbon fiber and looks way cooler!!

  • "i love religious movies" hahaha.

  • I think this movie was stupid and one of the worst and I was even alive back then.

  • Me and my band make our friends and others that want to be part of our entourage, watch this movie while eating a well wholesome meal...It is funny as a mofo...

  • Why can't people upload parts of the movie? Becausee of the NC17 rating?

  • do the creep ahh do the creep ahhh

  • Back then it didn't matter how stupid something was as long as it was the FIRST time you saw something like it. WEIRD TIME for sure.

  • Dude what the fuck? I've been waiting half an hour for this video to load because my Internet is having some problems, only to find out that the trailer doesn't even show parts of the movies? Goddamn.

  • Everything I learned about morality, I learned from this film and Female Trouble. John Waters is a genius.

  • My brain is so full of fuck.

  • Watch our homage to Pink Flamingos!

    watch?v=yYddeGP8uxg&feature=relmfu

  • Don't bring this movie to church....ha..ha..ha! The filthiest people alive????

The best movie ever...especially for a bachelor's party.

  • @robertplantisgod1234 yes, but according to john waters, he was doing the chicken a favor, the chicken was going to be cooked on the day they bought it for the film.

  • degenerates....

  • @jukka4president Well, I wont dispute that, .. . but still, they're funny degenerates !

  • and even the young girls must be death now :P

  • 0:25 looks like Chloe O'Brien from 24

  • @TransformerslNC I was thinking Isabella Rosselini

  • CRACKWOOD the movie !!!! Mr. Waters you have inspired us!!!!

  • THIS IS THE NEW SOUNDTRACK:

    /watch?v=CjctBJlZVdA

    FILTHY

  • Truly an American classic. Some may think it's disgusting, but, it really is one of the greatest movies ever made. Reality in the extreme. I knew/know people like that...

  • can someone explain how its funny?

  • @nicsevern It's not supposed to be funny. It's supposed to gross you the fuck out and question your sense of morality.

    /deep

  • @akjk1212 "It's not suposed to be funny" ... Yes it was.

  • @nicsevern It's whats called "gallows" humor. Right, it's not like sayyy, .. an Adam Sandler "comedy", in case THATS what you have in mind when you hear / think "funny".

  • Attaboy, Johnnie!

  • great tilaer

  • Brilliant ad campaign!!!!!!!

  • I remember the first time i saw this movie. It was so disturbing/awesome....

  • Wooww, this movie is quite shocking.. And of course it teaches us to eat our own feces too.. Just like Divine who likes so much shit in his mouth...

  • This movie is filthy and Fabulous!

  • Thumbs up if you looked up "Andalusian Dog"

  • @fshgjguhergbertyuihg: Heh, I didn't have to look it up at all.

  • 1:42 - Howard Stern?

  • Did chickens really die in the one scene:( that made me sad, it was an odd movie, my favorite part was when the reporter asked divine if she believed in god, and she replied "I am God". haha

  • Intellectually, it is a very insightful film. It shows the real America, whether people will admit it or not.

Some think it is crude or gross, but, ALL people have a filthy side to them, whether it is their sexual proclivities or their social outlook. Some eat meat, some eat boogers, some eat feces, some eat...

  • @musikfanat: John Waters said that he got the idea for Pink Flamingos from driving around and passing trailer parks and wondering about what kinds of lives the people who lived there had.

  • @JKTube John waters was a genius at depicting real Life in the extreme. Our deepest thoughts revealed!

  • i'm pretty sure John still holds the title of director of the filthiest movie.... ever.

  • @alixinthemiddle Yeah you would think that but no......This movie has so been surpassed Which is sad for I still feel it is in the tops for disgusting but now 2010 we have films like REGOREGITATING SACRAFICE and MORDUM

  • @clintbronson5 Well I admit that I haven't seen any of those ones, but are they funny and imaginative like Waters old films were ?

  • @Skulldini Oh no! Just SICK!

  • @Skulldini Yes I am that same guy from AMAZON.

  • I'm in this for 2 seconds ! They cut my line :" Divine , Is Divine , Is Divine ," however !

  • Hahaha " i think its the future of city living"

  • "I think it's the future of city living." <---I swear he could have been a Dreamlander.

  • the picture still sucks

  • i love this movie so so so much!!!

  • this movie was not meant 2 b funny or if it was big fail i think this was suppose 2 rape ur mind

  • @bye5225 Agreed. It was made to force us to look at ourselves...

  • They don't make films like they used to...

  • i love at 1:05 when the guy says "it's not necessarily 'cries and whispers'."

  • My fav Movie EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow that guy that said, " I think is the future of city living" got it right.

  • my opinion matters!!!

  • does someone eat a piece of crap in this film?

  • Yes, the last shot. dog crap

  • @bluevidcam yes

  • Ya know I use to live on 3509 greenmount avenue. Only a few feet away from 3900 Greenmount where the Marbles lived in Pink Flamingo

  • This movie is not good. It sucks so bad

  • That is entirely the point! Nimrod!

  • It's a bad movie, nothing to it. You can say it's ment to be like that, but it does not justify how awful and bad it is. If you like watching a good movie, skip this. It's maybe a cult classic but just skip it. If you wanna get grossed out and shocked, please watch this.

  • It's not as bad as your spelling...

  • It's not the point. The point is: this movie blows

  • @kraposmell, No dude, YOU blow.

  • So hostile because I say my opinion. You can't just face the fact; it's a bad movie. Why you start insulting me? I am talking about the movie, and you get all mad and start mocking me. That's just sad.

  • do you have a life?

  • Why do you even care? If you can't protect your opinion and just start to be agressive against people, you are just a little kid trolling.

  • @kratosmale I agree,.. THIS movie is indeed BAD !! Very BAD !! It's SO BAD, in fact, that I just want to pute it over my knee and SPANK IT,.. until I cum in my drawers !! THATS how BAD it is !!

  • I want to see this movie so bad!

  • "I think it's the future of city living."

  • @The3lse ... That is if the city in question is SODOM AND GOMMORAY !!!! UTTER FILTH THIS MOVIE WAS !!!! .... Oh, but funny !

  • After "Pink Flamingos" and "Female Trouble" it was all down hill for America -- our last gasp as a free country. god, the 70s were fun!

  • piece of garbage! hahahahaah AWESOME! IT MAKES ME PIUK THE FIRST TIME !

    I LOVE IT

  • The tagline would actually be "An exercise in poor taste."

  • great film!!!! i love really controversial comedies from the 70's in my opion pink flamingos was the most sexual comedy of the 70's 2nd most sexual would be cry uncle and the 3rd would be the case of the smiling stiffs

  • cookie i love you were an inspiration to nan goldin and everyone else

  • i HEARD THE BUGET WAS ACTUALLY 10,000 not 12,000.

  • yeah that's right, and most of that was spent on trailers

  • I think it's a future of city... living.

  • I LOVE the guy on the rights hair at 0:50. I also love how diverse the audience really is. Young, old, straight, gay, etc.

  • It was an extremely limited New York City audience's jaded reaction to the film, not a true cross section of society. Not only limited audience but extremely limited exposure of the film itself - selectively released in only v.large cities in the US at the time. The film only had wide release nearly 10 yrs. later, in the summers of '81 & '82 and even then only in midnite 'cult' flick shows at some venues. Had anyone ever dared to release it generally in '72, John Waters would've been jailed.

  • @bertskoi: Pink Flamingos was one of the Big Six of Midnight Movies, along with Night of the Living Dead, El Topo, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Harder They Come and Eraserhead. See the documentary Midnight Movies: From the Margins to the Mainstream for more information.

In his autobiography Shock Value, Waters wrote that he realized when he was in school that his purpose in life was to make the trashiest films ever made.

  • I know - squares, hold-over hippies, fairies, slumming elites - everyone went to see it

  • I love how that guy says"Even better than CRIES AND WHISPERS!" Odd comparison.

  • My favorite quote:

"I have an aversion to snakes".

I also doubt Rex Reed recommended this to anyone. I have, though.

  • @martinz60L: Reed hated Waters' followup Female Trouble, asking "Where do they go when the sun goes down? Isn't there a law or something?" This quote appears on the front cover of the Female Trouble DVD box.

  • "It's the Future of City Living" I laughed so hard at that stoned 70's queen!

  • 1:06 LOL! as if people ACTUALLY talk like that

  • So John Waters came to my hometown this past weekend... I missed him. i literally cried.

  • simply crude, simply brilliant
