  • Thank you, but can you show me how to remove it??

  • Such file does not exist or it has been removed for infringement of copyrights. F*CK

  • the link no longer works for the 64 and 86 bit files HELP!

  • Really helpful

  • Awesome! But i cant seem to play videos in the taskbar

  • Thanks A TON! :D

  • Did the above, now have the mini player back, however when I open a file I get sound but no video, just a black box??

  • thank you its working

  • This is not a good method it only works on half the mahicnes I've done it on, theres a windows media player 12 install out there that has the feature but i cant find it again anymore.. The method shown above for example did not work on my home PC, I select the Windows Media Player Toolbar and when I minimize WMP12 it does nothing at all.

  • I have a problem, is can't see wmpband.dll.

Can you say something about that? Or help me?

  • This will not play video. Way to bork the one good thing about windows media player Micro$haft... VLC media player in "minimal view" and set to always on top is good enough I suppose.

  • There should be a step 12 that says, "in order to get the toolbar option on your task bar, Windows Media Player needs to be in 'now playing' mode and the 'visualizations' option needs to be set to 'album art'. This is an important step and should at least be included in the 'Tips' section of the tutorial. To get to now playing mode press Ctrl+3. Turn on album art by right clicking in the center of WMP and go down to 'Visualizations'.

  • need help

  • i have very big problem

the prodedure entry point MFGetSupportedSchemes could not be located in the dynamic link library MF.dll.

  • I had used this solution in the past but ran into a few problems when I upgraded to 64-bit I then to had keep enabling it as the minimize wouldn't work all the time, in the end I downloaded Microsoft Zune which has taskbar player feature built in and works flawlessly

  • @mattd28 Thanks for sharing about Microsoft Zune, it really helps!

  • link is dead

  • link down

  • all worked 32bit

  • the link is dead !

  • the link is dead !

  • Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service isnt located where it should be.

  • Link is broken for the download!

  • @ORIGINALGAV true

  • I have a problem:

When i paste: regsvr32 “%ProgramFiles%\Windows Media Player\wmpband.dll” in cmd and press enter a pop up box appears and says: The module ""C:/Program" failed to load.

Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files.

The specified module could not be found.

What could be the problem mate?

  • @MrJamz74 same problem as you mate. did you manage to solve it?

  • @germ321 Nope :(

But i followed another video which requires a downgrade to get the toolbar and i did but the toolbar still dont show.

  • @MrJamz74 I have this problem too

  • @MrJamz74 Found a solution. Type out the address of the file, replacing the %programfiles% with the correct path. I had to C&P the path and filename from the properties box for the file to get it to work *shrug shoulders* it's not like I got it wrong typing it. The % flags should have worked, though. It's odd.

  • @Destructor111 hey man can u explain to me in detailed the solution u found??i have the same problem n i tried what u said by replacing the %programfiles% with the correct path but i still dont work....

  • You need to find the wmpband.dll file, right click on it, click properties and then drag select the text next to "Location: " copy, paste, and then add "\wmpband.dll" to it.

Should look something like: "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player" "\wmpband.dll"

    Without quotations or spaces, so:

    C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpband.dll

    Making the final command:

    regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpband.dll"

Hope this helps, its been a while, but I think I remembered it ok.

  • @Destructor111 yes man,thnx,it really helped,it works now :)

  • @MrJamz74 instead using the one provided, try this one:

    regsvr32 "c:\program files\windows media player\wmpband.dll"

As you may notice, there is no Caps letters in it and the signs for "" are different than the ones presented in the tutorial above.

  • Thank you. And Your are a best.

  • works on 64bit?

  • can you give me the link to get that Wallpaper it looks so peaceful :)

  • Not enough people say 'Wotcha' anymore, please keep using it!! Good video again, very useful

  • @bluelebowski yeah its old skool...I try and use it more for you.

  • can you start making some actually useful videos, all ur latest ones are complete junk.

  • I tried this a wile back and completely screwed up my WMP12, I don't think I'll be trying this anymore.

  • I think I've tried this before a long time back but what I hated about it is the WMP toolbar on the taskbar just stays there even if I close WMP, this led me to remove that dll anyway unlike on XP or Vista where the toolbar disappears as you close WMP.

  • hmm not that much help but i like your voice so still liking it

  • Personally I don't like it, but it a good tip

  • i completely forgotton that it disappeared. thanks for the tutorial!

  • @BarclayTechHelp your welcome mate
