Sounds soooooooo unlike the real thing. Essentially, DCC Sound does not work. The problem is the sound that you are trying to replicate compared to the size of the speaker fitted to the model. Its a little bit like using earphones on max volume as speakers for your TV.

excellant sounds affects and detail on this loco i do think the headcode box is rather bright though ,i'm guessing thats an led behind it and not a bulb!

I was thinking about getting a Bachmann 47 with sound.
It's difficult to know what the sound is really like from this video. The SWD & Howes chipped versions sound good.
One thing though...That headcode is way too bright. They only had tungsten light bulbs to back-light the running code.

Tomo, yes, the headcode panel and tail lights are factory fitted, and directional.
