@Modmealife Where the 2 Adamatoise's and 3 Adamachields are. If you go into the area where the 3 Adamachields is, there should be a hill thing you can jump up on to, jump up onto the top of it and its some where around there.

my strategy for a low level party(aka mine) is to start on protection light medic, fang sentinel and sazh synergest until you get the 4 most basic things. switch to delta attack to raise chain gauge and when you have to heal evened odds light medic fang sab and sazh a ravager. The gran pulse enemies are hard to kill but this helps alot. i hope this helps other low levels.

ruin is probably the most effective commando attack ever. you stay away from your target, it boosts the chain gauge and isn't an element attack. It is probably the best move to use against barthandelus(in my opinion).

At lower levels you aren't going to be able to smash him, use your preferred Com/Sen/Med lineup just use Syn/Syn/Syn as primary then go into Com/Sen/RavCom and Com/Sen/Med when your Sen has low HP. I have him down to about 1:50 with Lit/Sazh/Van with all maxed out primary skills and sazh with his first Sen ability

you do know there is a way to cancel its attack while still using a rav....make light a rav change to fang and snow as com's and with light as your main spam Army of One...it has no chance to attack until the entire thing is done and if you have haste on enfire on with bravery or bravera the fight goes that mutch faster with even a weak party hitting about 10-25k a hit and a stronger one doing about 40 to 99k without the genji glove making the fight alot faster and more efficiant, or w/e

@bones911001 yes 30,000cp per kill with the grow egg (15,000 without), i recommend about 8000 HP to tackle the primes, but if u cant beat them u can battle the weaker forms, they still give alot of CP for a quick kill. Hope this helps =]

@CyberThechSlifer Train on the cactuars lower/weaker forms, they still give alot of xp for a quick kill, they move up to the prime when u get stronger =]

Farming = Hunting for rare monsters or rare items for a long amount of time.

Grinding = Grinding to get to that certain level or AP (Ability Points, in this case CP)

@boy5freak Too slow, GC attacks really fast, try and kill him as fast as possible, his status changes on you would be mental, try COM/SYN/SEN and let me know. Not to sound bigheaded but I think my way is the best. Good luck. =]

@moomoochacoo this is chapter 11, if u are finding them hard, then try upgrading ur weapons/accessories, or make some anti-haze/anti pain accessories, they help alot. If you are still struggling to beat the cactuar prime then just kill its second form, still gives a nice 10k per kill and move onto the big one when ur stronger =]

A little better directions, the area where you find several of those large turtles (And longui), it's right at the northern entrance, on the hill, you see a chest and another turtle (but it's weak and easy to kill). I actually initiate the buffs myself, so I can do the most important ones. (fang does faithra and bravera, no need to do faith and brave so i do shell and protect). I've done this to max out my synergist role, and then the others. More buffs the better!

@BloodandRainbows They are found all over the field area, shouldnt be too hard to find one, however once u get close to them they run off and are hard to catch and battle, but this one in the video gets trapped so he can't run off, which is why i think its the best Cactuar to train on =]

@Acetactular There are 2 on the northern highplain. All you have to do is run to one side and kill it then run to the other side and kill the other. You can also battle the big wolf thing with the smaller wolf things for extra cp on the way. There's also a save point very near.

@unholyknight89 Complete mission 55, u can start it by talking to the c'eith stone in Fang/vanille's hometown ( i forgot the name, havent played in a while), it is a hard fight to get it, i recommend some leveling up/ making good weapons. Just look it up on youtube, it's defo on here. Hope this helps =]

@021vash from chap 11 onwards, i did this from chap 11 but its prob best to do post-game so u have unlocked max crystal thing, to get cactuars u need to do some special cut scene tho, just look up vid on utube how to unlock

i went to the pond close to that area where the choco is and it's better because there are two of these thiungs 12 seconds apart. So a minute to kill them and 12 seconds to repeat it. I was doing the method here but it's faster to do what i found close by the pond. It's 60cp every 90 seconds to 2 minutes.

@coronaextra667 any cactuar u can find changes into a prime, although this 1 in the vid is probably the best since it cant run off, if u know where the circle of c'eith stones r then face north and follow the path left, about a minutes walk from there, also it is next to a stationary adamanchield guarding some treasure on a ridge but i killed him for the sake of the video, i know quality is a tad shite, i might re-do it

ummm looks good, i fought a few of these, a question tho, what buffs did you cast on urself? in description u mention it only has 1 attack and deals 1000 damage regardless of protect etc.

@RiseTheMonkeyNation yes ur right well spotted, well to be honest i cast as many buffs as possible even the pointless ones like enfire and so on. This is because haste is always cast first by syngerists( i love haste), and since cactuar prime can deduff up to 3 of ur most recent buffs with any one attack, it makes sense to keep haste as far away from the end as possible, of course i put useful buffs up aswell, bravery, veil etc, hope u understand i bet it sounds confusing, g'luck =]

@Acetactular ohhhhhhhhh ye i understand, very clever, i watched the video again, and i noticed that u always seem to attack the cactuar the very second it evoles into a prime 0.o do u count how long it takes or something? if so how long is it? =]

@RiseTheMonkeyNation haha no i dont count how long it takes, although that makes sense, what i have noticed is that i can cast 7 buffs quickly, i go abilites shell, protect, and cast this 3 times on all characters, then 1 auto buff on lightning then para shift and attack, the first attack will hit the cactuar the very second after it transforms, this is important since the 1st wave of attacks is the only one guarenteed not to have any debuffs on ur party so u should attack as so as it changes
