This is not a moped PLEASE CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION IT WILL CAUSE LAWS TO BE APPLIED THAT SHOULDN'T BE , I made one as well and it doesn't fall into any category yet in FLORIDA LAW and I enjoy the freedom of not being bothered by the POE POE !!!! this is a great Idea but we must not give any reason for BANNING this concept, loud noise ,bad welds or riffraff. mine currently will do 55mph but 44mph is max comfort 110cc motor like your idea PLEASE check out mine! Thanks for seeing THE BIG PICTURE !
I have just made a 50cc bike because it is legal in my state. I have heard that using the trailer you can go with a bigger motor, higher speeds, and still be legal. Do you know anything on the legal aspects???
It's not bad. Your bodyweight will overcome the force of the trailer. Also you throttle mostly on straights, and slow down on turns. My 6.5HP biketrailer gets 100MPG and 50MPH and has two wheels. It also carries stuff and stands the bike up for me. Biketrailers are AWESOME!

@TheGbortnick
You can use a larger motor on a trailer than you can fit in the frame of a bike, but the legal restrictions are the same either way.

that thing would be hard to turn since all that pushing force would be so high up

I am working on a design using some 1" emt and a new honda 50GX motor. I hope to get 150+ MPG with it.
Gas should be about $5 a gallon by this summer.
I will post up pictures as I get it going.
