I've got windows live movie maker 2011 and whenever I add music it wont play! It comes up with a ! in a yellow triangle and then when you hover over it it it says "double click to fix" so i douvle clicked and it says that "the file might be corrupted or in a format that Movie Maker doesn't recognise. This movie can't be save or published until (name of song) is removed from the project". Does anyone know how to fix fix this, please help!

You got my hopes all up, but then I noticed this video is from 2008. Sadly, you can't use Windows 7's "Windows Live Movie Maker" to edit mp3 files; it only edits videos, and songs can be added afterward.

@jman036 You're better off getting or getting made an instrumental version. To edit a song where the vocals are gone and the instrumental behind it doesn't have any artefacts to show it was sharing the sound-space really isn't worth the effort. It takes a level of skill and technology that currently doesn't exist.

I have movie maker for windows 7. I have a video with dialogue that leads onto a video with music being played over that video. When I go to the "audio mix" tab to turn the music up to be heard,you can no longer hear the dialogue on the first clip. I have Vista and when I save the music clip, it saves it as a wma. There is no option to select MP3. The file name says AUDIO, but on the next page it says it will be saved as a wma. There is no way to change that. What gives?
