Suny, you're right. The 60's thru the 80's were the glory days for us in Rock bands. In the 90's it was all about one person entertainers. Now it's seems the negative bad attitudes of black rap & hip hop have taken over. Not for me though, there's absolutely nothing there for the true musician.

When they refer to a wall in this song it's a wall other people are building between the singer and the person he's singing to, whereas the wall by Pink Floyd is about an individual building a wall between himself and everyone else. Also, the character in Pink Floyd's album is literally a representation of the lives of Roger Waters and Syd Barrett (original Floyd singer).
