Did you know Allison Siko who plays Kathleen posted this on her site on facebook, look her up & see all the links she has & scroll down :) Love this vid!
I had bipolar disorder in college but of course I didn't know I had it. When Kathleen tells her grandma that she slept with all those boys and she didn't even know their names--that was me. So that part was pretty accurate.
Ellen Bursyn is now nominated for an Emmy for her role in this. I thought it was kind of a stereotype that the L&O SVU writers made her an artist/painter, but then again, I like to write, so. . . .
Yes, HAD it in college and still have it now. But had an obviously active episode without knowing what it was (mania). That's what I meant. I realize that I'll never be cured. If I could be, I would not be spending time on interesting channels like this one: I'd be out being normal, professor.
No need to go all Bipolar on ME sweet heart. I have Bipolar as well, I was just clarifying for those who DON'T have it, we don't wqant to be givin' people that are seeking more information and understanding the wrong information now do we? Or do you not care that people actually want to understand this disorder a little better. That was NOT a question, just a point maker. =^.^=
I liked this episode and it was sad, but I was dissapointed about how extreme it was. She took drugs, commited crimes had promiscuous sex. I may do some weird stuff, but not to that extent. Nice video anyway!
Love this episode. Meloni is an amazing actor, and he proves it once again. This episode was so sad. We also learn more about Stabler, and that was heart breaking.
Thank you so much for this. I have several friends and family members who suffer from this horrible disease. People think they're just moody or "crazy" when in fact they are locked inside themselves with a sickness.
Thank you... one of my favorite episodes, great song, beautiful video.
rebecca- thank you for uploading this video; this video was a tearjerker. its shows how dreaded this disease can be and how SADLY it makes person can lose their self respect;. God bless the professionals who try to help the people afflicted with this condition..
Yeah, I had to watch the episode before editing so I'd know what I was dealing with and I got choked up. It's so sad when mental illness tears a family apart.
Well, I think it's either because they have some very bad luck, or it's because the producers wanted to show that despite hardship, the characters can perservere (sp?).
I thought you were gonna put Lithium by Nirvana as the song.

It's all from the same episode, called "Swing" from season 10.

The producers like to pile on the drama, yes, but some people with this illness are so sick that their symptoms are that extreme.
I'm glad you don't do things to that extent!
Thanks!

Is the girl Stabler's daughter???
Why every bad thing always happen to the regular characters of Law&Order series???

I agree, it's one of my favorite episodes. I'm particularly fond of the episodes that deal with mental illness.
