  • Congratulations to all the winners and good luck in NY.

I hope that someday we all achieve your desire to make the world better and safer place.

I consider myself a winner too. I had the opportunity to speak to the world and share my story with you all.

    So thank you UN!

    To the fellow participants:

Never give up on your dreams!!!

  • Thanks!!! I hope that, too :)

  • thanks!!! :)

  • Best wishes on your new endeavor. As a word of encouragement, I'd like to share some wisdom from a distinguished historian I once knew:

"Though it seems that the day-to-day trend in history is generally down, from time to time a few people get together to lift humanity higher than it's ever been before."

Thanks for daring to be one of those people.

Since you're my ambassador now, please watch the two videos I submitted. Perhaps my ideas can still be of use.

    Thanks again, and good luck.

  • Hi!! thanks! I liked the quote very much, and feel honored by your words :)

of course I´ll watch your videos!! thanks again!!! :D

  • Good job, great editing, and good job to find al these different voices! Have fun in New York!

  • Thanks so much!!! :)

  • Congratulations! I love your idea of listening what people of different nations and ages have to say to world leaders.

it´s so sad that people who hasn´t won criticize winners work in such a disrespectful and angry way... i think that´s not the spirit of unity and partnership that this kind of contests are meant to encourage... anyway, you did a great job!!!!

  • thanks so much!!!

and I agree with you about angry people... ;)

  • Congratulations on the winning video! It is clearly a masterwork, and the judges selected it rightly.

For those who posted negative comments: you lost the competition but were not true losers until you posted attacks on the winner.

MariCarmen, do not own the negativity of others. Rejoice in your victories and have compassion on the souls who are controlled by their anger.

Go forward and make me even more proud of the gracious and talented person you are.

    Bien hecho, mi querida!

  • No. You lost. Because the benefits to the whole world of many of the truly deserving videos will now be ignored as usual. This contest was rigged! But you are biased and will not see the truth! I challenge you to try to prove me wrong and to convince the majority of contest participants of your point of view. If you respect freedom of expression you will not remove this comment. You show no sense of real Ethics in your comment. Walai! Peace.

  • Thanks so much!!! :)

  • :) Very much well done

  • How is this well done?! "Equal labor oppertunities for young people and women" WHAT!? Jobs are there, it's hard for EVERYONE to get a job, and how is it not equal for a women? And young people? WHAT? Child labor?!

"Integration of native people to the society" What does that MEAN?

"Children of the world should have access to education" No DUH! But HOW, HOW DO WE ACHIEVE THIS.

This competition is a fail and so is this video

  • When I said well done I mostly regarded to the delivery of the messages and I think the messages do make sense.

...Jobs are there. It's hard for everyone to get a job. That much is true. But if you look closer, it's even harder for women and young adults. Not Child labor per se. The video even mentions stopping child labor.

  • And for "Integration of native people to the society"...That's a bit of an ambiguous statement but I think she meant to say that traditions and culture of many countries are being neglected due to the influences of modernization and these traditions should be preserved by integrating it to the modern society

  • "Children of the world should have access to education"...

that's a pretty clear message by itself

I think the UN would be able to decipher that somehow don't you think?

How? Spend lots of money and lots of time on it.

The purpose of this competition is for people to speak up. So far at least 477 people around the world did speak up their mind of what they think is most important to achieve first.

Now the UN knows which issues to work on first...

Sounds too simple? That's just me speaking

  • Dude, that's the whole POINT of this contest, if they could decipher everything by themself, they wouldn't NEED our help. So they didn't ask us to reoutline problems, they asked for SOLUTIONS! So, when it is said, "children should have access to eduacation", that an obvious, EVERYONE knows that already, the question is how to achieve that, this video and the other solve NOTHING, no real ideas or solutions, mine did, but i did not have a flashy video, so i lost. This contest is STUPID!

  • boo boo.... poor crying baby

there there, you didnt win, you can start a war if you want, right? oh no, thats against UN!!

be a man, grab your balls and accept the truth... YOU LOST!!

seriously, you dont deserve winning a contest like this because you cant handle been defeated, sucker

grow up and work on your charm ("i want as many friends in youtube as i can, i want to be popular!! weeee!!!")

    L-O-S-E-R

  • Accepting failure (loss), is why most creatures do not evolve, and why many become extinct. If the first time humans tried to fly a plane and gave up "accepted loss" because it failed, we would not have air travel today. And that goes with any invention, you think they all worked on the first try. If everyone did as you say and "accepted loss, grab your balls", we would be nowhere near as evolved and have the things we do today.

"Grab your balls" What an unintelligent HIC!

  • bla bla bla

    who cares, you lost!

    =D

  • No. You lost. Because the benefits to the whole world of many of the truly deserving videos will now be ignored as usual. This contest was rigged! But you are biased and will not see the truth! • Thanks, aekasitt!! :)

  • Very nice job, Maricarmen, I hope we can meet each other next Friday in NY.

  • Thanks, your job is great too!! :) see you really soon!!! :D

  • The contest was supposed to be about what "you" would say! Not what over one let alone ten people would say! And though this is the best entry of those that won, it too should not have been allowed. It exceeds the time limit! Even if by ONE SECOND! I think it should be used as a commercial for UNICEF instead. At least you did not exploit images of people who did not consent to their images being used! For this I congratulate you Maricarm Ortega....but I still think mine was one of the five best!
