Here's another one calling an "ENGINE" a "MOTOR", do you know the difference between an ENGINE and a motor?. If not I will enlighten you. A "MOTOR" is either electrical, vacumn. Anything that runs on some sort of fuel that makes combustion is an internal combustion"ENGINE". Guess thats why at the start of races(nascar,indy) they say: GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES" not "GENTLEMEN" start your motors.

@MIketucky350 not really toyota made a bullet proof 2jz engine, just slap 2 turbos or a supercharger and it can make 800hp no problem and thats ALL stock no billet rods or pistons or even ported heads

@30GB A 2jz will never make 800 hp with stock heads and internals; even with two turbos. Stop shitting out of your mouth. Despite the fact it has forged internals, your looking at a max of about 450 safe, reliable hp with stock internals. Anything more and all you've got is a grenade; like almost all very high hp japanese motors.

@30GB I've read about the 2jz on multiple websites. I admit, some guys do have around 700 crank hp with them cars; HOWEVER these are not daily drivers. They're show cars doing the occasional dyno pull and thats it. Besides any 2Jz or any other small japanese engine with big power always has a ton of boost. With the single turbo like your stating, that car wouldnt do anything below 45-5000 rpm. So you'd have 20-25 grand invested into a motor you cant even drive and have fun with on the street.

@30GB Building a 2jz ge or gte for the street is a completely different issue and requires alot more tuning, money and special parts. It really doesnt matter what the engine revs to. Look at all the s/c'd GM LS motors and modular and coyote motors etc. that make 600-1000 hp. All of these engines produce usable hp plus they dont look and sound like shit. Thats with no more than 18-20 psi of boost. A 800hp 2jz gte would require at least 32-35 psi.

@30GB lol well there no doubt about that! Thats always been the drawback to any big block. They do wiegh alot even when cast in more lightwieght materials. In either case, both engines are going to be buring a ton of fuel; although that little I6 im thinking would get better milage than a Big Block. But you cant beat the awsome look of a big ol' chromed and painted Big Block and of course that absolutely astonishing soundtrack it produces!
