1:46 is so sick!!! This is where Ben shines. He has the PERFECT combination of jazz and blues piano style. I can assure you I'm one of Ben's biggest fans, mostly cause I'm a piano player myself and I try to learn every one of his songs as he plays it, but whenever he rips out insane solos like this one and in "Fired" off of Rockin the Suburbs or "One Angry Dwarf" it just makes me want to quit and get better at the same time. @ruppy99 Oh good that one is so sick. He rips it up on that one. I don't know how he makes those noises after the actual song though. I know he's hitting the microphone for one thing, and hitting the strings with his hand or something, but it sounds like he would need 3 hands or something to pull it off. But it's Folds were talking here. He can pretty much do anything he wants.

I jst realized something.

At 1:11, he plays 3 instruments at the same time! A keyboard with his right hand, a piano with his left, and the synthesizer with his knee! Ben Folds is the man!!

I don't want to sound mean, or anything, but I've been a drummer for a few years now, and can tell you that playing hi-hat, cymbal, snare, and floor tom is actually second-nature to drummers. While you are right, the number of instruments you can play at the same time isn't the best judgement of talent, Ben Folds plays the basic assortment of instruments you need for a rock band, all extremely well, might I add.
