Well, this movie wasn't bad. The acting was great and visual effects were decent. Ron Perlman was the most impressive here but Nicolas Cage, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan were good too.

You are likely thinking of other pagan paths, such as Druidism, which has been around since the Druids, as far back as 200 BCE.

I really couldn't take this movie seriously with all the oh so very modern dialogue, and with Nicolas Cage speaking the parts, it seemed so much more out of scene to me :P Cage just doesn't seem the type to be in a medieval/historical type movie.
My sister and I couldn't help but make fun of the inaccuracies and how clumsily some parts were played out, but it was overall a pretty good movie worth a watch.

@iowala1 Yeah, i've been to a few in Austria, mostly when there are medival festivals held there because then the castle tours are for free :-)
Unfortunately i only have two pics of Kreuzenstein, one of which you can also see on it's Wikipedia entry (well, not exactly the same of course, but i took it from the same spot). It shows the inner yard and a well. The other pic i took is of a priceless, huge cupboard that a monk literally spent his whole life on, carving unbelievable details in it!
As long as theres nicholas cage i will watch it even if it has a dumb scenario. He is one of the best actors of all times. I love everysingle one of his movies.

I honestly do not think it looks all that good or scary. I don`t really like Nicholas Cage, because he speaks in (monatone)...the same wave length, neither up or down in pitch, that drives me nuts. The only movie`s I ever liked him in is where he does little speaking. I did however like him in, National Treasures One and Two...but I find the other actors in it, had alot to do with it`s success. And the story line was there so....but that`s just me!

Two guys take a witch to a monastery to put her on trial. They get there and kill the demon possessing her.
That's it! Thats the movie.

No Wicca has not been around that long, you are talking about paganism in general. Yes, Wicca is a pagan religion, but it has only been in existence since the 20th century. It STEMS from older paganism, but is itself new. People "hear" so many things, thus causing inaccurate information to be brought forth. It is necessary to actually do your own homework instead of just picking and choosing who you will and won't listen to, and then quoting what you "heard" as fact.

I can barely make out this movie in a relatively low-lit room. It's going to cause havoc on wide-screen TV settings around the country when it comes out on Blu-ray/DVD.
Also good to see the movie has complied with the mandatory blue-lighting required for all horror movies now.

Unfortunately i only have two pics of Kreuzenstein, one of which you can also see on it's Wikipedia entry (well, not exactly the same of course, but i took it from the same spot). It shows the inner yard and a well. The other pic i took is of a priceless, huge cupboard that a monk literally spent his whole life on, carving unbelievable details in it!

I honestly do not think it looks all that good or scary. I don`t really like Nicholas Cage, because he speaks in (monatone)...the same wave length, neither up or down in pitch, that drives me nuts. The only movie`s I ever liked him in is where he does little speaking. I did however like him in, National Treasures One and Two...but I find the other actors in it, had alot to do with it`s success. And the story line was there so....but that`s just me!
