Philly is a fun town. I still feel a bit safer being in the city during daylight hours. It is a bicycle friendly area just don't leave your bike unattended for a minute even with a good lock. Travel in groups and you will be just fine in the city of brotherly love.
I agree. Nowhere is perfectly safe, bue some places are beautiful. And Philly is one of those places. I love to bike in Philly, and I agree with you on not leaving bikes unattended in the city.
Yes they will stomp your bike if they can`t steal it. I had one incident so far when a guy was contemplating stealing my camera when he suddenly noticed that would not be a good idea for him. Otherwise it`s a great place to photograph and take in all scenery and the great American history that started here in Philly. And yes the tour guides need to do a better job at presenting our American history and our great city of Philadelphia.
The people in Philly were really friendly. That's something you don't find in other big cities like New York or Chicago. Even in Milwaukee, the people are not really friendly.
