Idi Amin once ordered his soldiers at the border control points to check people running away from his reign of terror.

He wanted to prevent refugees taking away with them valuable foreign currencies and properties.

Cars were duly stopped at the border posts, and soldiers ordered people out and make them take their footwear off and inspect them.

They were following strictly their order received to check the "boots"

Car boots were not inspected.
