and the eggs take 21 days to hatch

they might start laying early september

  • AWWW!:) SO CUTE!

  • is that the nesting area or did you just put the eggs and chicks there to record? also was mumma bird tame is that why she is out of the cage

  • Thats the dad I suppose.

  • I miss my baby birds :( they were so cuteeeeeeee!!!!!

  • :) aww this is so touching tho. First time Ive seen a momma bird be so defensive for her babies most mama birds (tamed) usually dont mind the owner or cameras so close.

  • this is something that you can only watch in youtube or national geographic.

Its something that shows what people's machines(whatever machine is that, even camera)do to the animal life.

    respect

  • Years ago, my cocketial laid infertile eggs. She, of course, didn't know this. She protected those eggs with her life, just like your hen.

  • How can something so small and ugly turn into such a beautiful bird? xD

  • Miksiköhän noi poikaset ei ole asianmukaisessa pesälaatikossa..?

  • I have a Cinnamon Pearl just like her! Yours is a great Mom!

  • uh just wondering if the mother is really the mother or father cuz the cheeks are pretty red

  • LOL The birds reaction the camera is priceless.

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwww very protective mama

  • get away from my babys with that camera!

  • oh shes the best mom!

  • @cindy600 MUM!!! not mom,, stupid american!

  • @MrPooBottom who said I'm an American?? I simply made a mistake , why do you hate them and so what that's how the spell MOM?? stop hating them I mean they let Australia copied everything that they do.

  • @cindy600 no australians just do that..... i hate how australian society is turning into american people

  • @MrPooBottom God forbid two different countries pronounce words differently.

  • @MrPooBottom Wow, I'd hate to hear how you react when someone says "mama". You must have trouble finding people you don't hate.

  • @MrPooBottom Lol I enjoy how ignorant you are. :)

  • thats what my mamma cockatiel looks like :)

  • Anyone that'd orphan a 'tiel is an asshole.

  • aaww :D

  • Omg!!!! Cockatiels are such lovley creatures. Life wouldn't be the same without them. The mother and the babies are both adorable.

  • @1977hero

of corse he is still suitable:) i thought that they could live for 15 years? but if you say they can live for 30 years, hes about middle aged. i wouldnt let him mate after about 18/19. hope that helped!x

  • @blacktrikes i got a 15 yrs old, been with me since i left college for 15 years!! i heard they can live up to 30 yrs. omg. its still jumping around and singing. but its partially blind now i hope he lives on. is he still suitable for mating considering his age?

  • o my gosh mine did the same thing, she swayed back and forth then hist at me cause i was too close to her babys lol

  • That hiss means she's scared, not angry. My sister's cockatiel would hiss like that whenever the lights were out and he couldn't see something that was making noises near him.

  • how cum they hav fur ?

  • @BennyJennyJ1 its not fur its a weird type of feather.. I cant remember the name of it

  • How long do u have to wait to pet them before the mom won't go berserk? plz respond friend's cockiteil just had babies.

  • lolz i love how its protective....its a wonder how protective animals are despite they are scared of humans..

  • lol my birds would do that when i take out the food bowl, they would run outside the nesting box and spread their wings and hiss but when i brought in fresh food they got all lovey dovey

  • What a good mama <3

  • @KSClaw Dad you mean?:P

or those the females have a very yellow head with this mutation ??@blacktrikes

  • The mom thinks the camera is some sort of laser or robot hawk...

Female: GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY CHILDREN, ALIEN!

I need to find a 1 day old orphaned tiel. Anyone know where to find?becuz I really want a YOUNG tiel. Mine is about 6 yrs and doesnt like me... I WANT A LOYAL COMPANION! My only loyal companion now is a stuffed bird I got when I was 6..XD. So if anyone knows if there's a cockatiel orphanage, plz PM me. PLZ!

  • @TielProductions do u want a handreard one?

Bcuz if u want a baybe one as tame as ever u should try get a handreard one just like me he is as tame as ever if ya want ill makle a vid of how tame a Handreard bird can be

  • @TielProductions ha ha ha stuffed bird . loyal companion

  • @TielProductions I don't think you could buy a 1 day old.

  • @phantomisle Yes, I was very ignorant at that moment >< That "Plz, PLZ!" Haunts me to this very day..

I managed to purchase one off my teacher though.

  • @TielProductions if you want a loyal teil it doesnt matter how old it is. its all about schedual and patience. try getting a hand fed and weaned bird and work slowly with it.

  • @TielProductions why doesn't you cockatiel like you?Is it because after years the tiels are getting bored of you or just because your tiel is uneducational and antamed from the beginning?

  • @hungryforfoodable

No, it's because the cockatiel is protecting her babies. Even the most tame, friendliest cockatiel will get defensive when it comes to babies. And the cockatiel went to feed the chicks and keep them warm- to keep them alive.

  • @oosyaoo the question i made was given to TielProductions

Everything's good about your bird and i know that she is a really good mama.TielProductions told that needs an orfhanage tiel cz his 6yrs old tiel doesnt like him..and i am asking TielProductions why??:)

  • @TielProductions hand rearing is alot of time and effort

  • @TielProductions if you want one that is loyal to humans and easy to train get a hand reared cockatiel, you can usually find out if there are any nearby by searching online.

  • @TielProductions lol xD, excellent comment

  • @TielProductions i volunteer at a bird rescue. Not to be rude, but cockatiels can live up to 25 years old and its sad to know your getting rid of yours because the bird didnt have the personality you wanted. Chances are the bird is that way because you dont know much about bird behavior. Work on loving your 6 year old tiel before you ruin another birds life.

  • very protective!

  • its not a male, cause she's a pearl cockateil, all pearls are females.

  • your pearl cockatiels feathers are very well groomed and cleaned my cockatiels dont look that tight

  • that momma bird looks exactly like the mother of my new baby cockatiel that hatched at like 4 a.m.!

  • well, they are both pearled cockatiels but my mother bird looks a LITTLE DIFFERENT

  • aww there soo cute but u need to say away and just leave her alone so she can get that baby out of the shell

  • oo mamma did not like you getting close to her babies lol.

    adorable~

  • wow you have cool birds can you look at my bird videos
