  • I really need one of those to connect my MacBook to.

  • what the fuck the pc o.m.g

  • They've got glass computer screens now and they're STILL running XP. Some people never learn.

  • @loki153624 It is still better than a Mac.

  • 2006... What The Fuck!!!!???

  • How much is that

  • get a mac

  • Make me a kitchen counter top like that so I can listen to NPR, look up recipes, and check email while working in the kitchen.

  • Now install Ubuntu!! =O

  • the name as a touch screen is:

"Through window touch with rear projection", look the "Interactive Touch Screen Foil for through-window and through glass touch applications" in the web of VISUAL PLANET.

    regards.

  • Adorei!!

    lol

Que nunca tinha visto isso... =D~

  • where can i buy it??

  • Awesome!

  • These Windows need shutters

  • Comment removed

  • We supply rear projections films, projectors and sensors one might need to build a projection like this at home, please come to our channel

  • Someone make me a shower door like that, so I can check my email while I'm washing up in the morning.

  • LoL. I'd be doing something a bit more "fun", rather than looking at e-mails if I was in the shower with that thing xD

  • OMG, LOOOL. Letsgoandhavesomefun. Same, but I would be having someone else in the shower and checking out porn. LOOOL

  • @robpurifoy yes a computer in the shower...

i know what i would do

  • @joshuamyler Hehe, I know, the pissed of wives everywhere- and like 30 minute showers, or until the hot water runs out. I thought about a shower door like that for several years and when I saw this I was thinking the technology is finally here-if someone could bring it to market. In the future we'll prolly have that application, I don't know why not..

  • @6irondriver lol i would i would never get out hahahah

  • Man! If I could get linux on that thing, I'd be doing so much awesome stuff! I'd be making games for that screen; that'd be so+ sweet!

  • If you need the code for the hardware, my guess is that it is just an FTIR screen with IR leds shining from the base, a diffuser for the screen and a freeware program called CCV.

I personally use the same setup in my apartment with the windows 7 RC. If you can build some linux games for TUIO multitouch code, the community would much appreciate if they were open source. This hardware is the easy part to build, the software is whats lacking right now.

  • Hi sportsterBK8, do you have some tutorial on how to build that? I have experience on programming for X11, and maybe I can make some window manager for that.

  • Wow! Awesome! looks like computer from Movies!!! astig!

  • This touch translucent rear projection display is supplied by sax3d it uses the VIP Interactive touch foil, the touch foil is applied to the back of the projection screen The touch foil uses projected capacitance which can work through 16mm of glass.

  • HAHahahaha!!!! It runs on Windows XP, not Vista, screw Vista!!!

  • ummm read the description... CEBIT 2006... prevista

  • yay for fanboys!

  • imagine about a thousand ppl touch that with their fingers. imagine where those fingers been. up a nose for instance. and then u touch the screen =) btw same wit atm machines. and money for that matter =DD

  • Cool touchscreen

  • Look no further as Touchmode will show you how it works. Touchmode has developed not just thru glass but on floor multi-touch. Google touchmode and find out. I bought my thru-glass tech from touchmode

  • Thanks pal!

  • How does it sence touch with that glass?

  • sensors inside that glass. Probably samething with touchpad except its transparent

  • yea we have smart boards too... but there hella bigger then that... but its not glass its like whiteboard material

  • Wow, what an awful idea. Arm ache > moving a mouse?

  • thats pretty sweet.

  • Look at Displax

  • Anybody know which company do this product?

It works without a frame? thanks!!

  • Goggle Displax

  • looks alittle bugy to me

the rsponce time is alittle slow.

not realy amazing all it is is a sensor behind the glass following the hand movements.

but none the less it's cool

    sorry for the spelling

  • generally you want things to be a little slow with hand recognition, it gives it a more natural feel

  • well, it sounds very simple to make, why don't you make a better one then? (just a sensor behind the screen! makes it sound really easy tech!) these systems are still in development, give them a break

  • the future

  • the past. Its a film between two sheets of class catching a projection form a screen a few feet away. Reconizing where and what the hands are doing is a matter of a tracking and sensing program.

  • Dude, that's no future, that's in fact, Old. I have 2 of these, it's a projector and works like a smart board.

  • we use smart boards at our school

  • ye but how much? and how long till they're in the sony centre or whatever?

  • Love it, soon televisions will become 3d and touch screen.

  • Cool screen

  • stupid

  • I like it ... bet it would look cool with Windows Vista.

  • thats sweet !

  • our company can be do it !,http://www.njytouch.com

  • whoa awesome.

  • thats wicked cool ya

  • jap. really cool

  • Cool.
