Like most ppl say, Pat gave too much respect to Cro Cop. He could've owned him easily in the 1st round when he dropped him on his ass twice. Cro Cop looked like a chump, but Pat pretty much refused to hit him hard after the 1st round, which cause him to get his ass kicked. Now as we see, there's no chance for a rematch. If Pat takes the fight more seriously in a rematch, he'll retire Cro Cop.

It was just a great fight... Barry is a real cool guy, surprised me with his swiftness (gave out the impression of throwing bombs but being sluggish), however i think that besides the obvious "need to work on his ground game", he needs to shed some weight and up his athletic skills a bit...
He can become unstoppable, heavy heavy hands and feet, and lightning swift... but i think he just ran out of gas in the middle of the 2nd round :-)

You get a sense of how much torque he generates through the monitor. Pat likes to push the pace and bring it out the striking Barry often. You'd need beast like akido skills to deal with that.
Barry is cool as hell...only thing keeping him from being a top contender is his ground game...which Lesnar currently has...primarily it's a stand up division with the exception of Brock and Velasquez...he's still young and beating a guy like Mirko will put him on the map,especially since he's still an unknown to many fans....but he needs to learn the ground game if he wants to be at the top and he has the desire to,guys like this won't be flashy in the octagon but will win ie Griffin

Cro Cop is and always will be a legend in the sport of both K-1 and MMA. He hasn't had things go so well since joining the UFC and I guess this would be his last fight should he lose. I still say after the Gonzaga fight he was never the same. Pat Berry looks like a great up and comer. He shows respect and promising abilities. I'm just hoping that Mirko has left the past behind him and can continue his reign in this sport, I'd hate to see him go out like this. :(

He really did a good fight with Mirko Crocop. Mirko's was performance was a lot better too than his last couple fights. Like he was released!
There was a bit of the old Mirko again from teh start of round 2.

Barry is cool as hell...only thing keeping him from being a top contender is his ground game...which Lesnar currently has...primarily it's a stand up division with the exception of Brock and Velasquez...he's still young and beating a guy like Mirko will put him on the map,especially since he's still an unknown to many fans....but he needs to learn the ground game if he wants to be at the top and he has the desire to,guys like this won't be flashy in the octagon but will win ie Griffin

I remember that fight with Hardonk and being so naive thinking, oh well Hardonks a kick-boxer with massive reach and legs, I've seen him fight too before he's gonna win for this this and this reason. And then Pat Barry just walks through him, into range and pounds him with power.
I was thinking, fuck me, this guy's also Pat Barry...
But seriously, I enjoyed his last fight alot and I'm just as excited to see Barry in the ring (if not more so) as seeing Liddel or other greats.

I don't care who wins as long as its fight of the night... I feel bad for Barry, he used to have no money what so ever before the Hardonk fight (which in he won like 100k from the awards). Plus Barry is a Cro Cop fan himself so he wouldn't mind losing in a fight for everybody to remember.

Cro Cop is and always will be a legend in the sport of both K-1 and MMA. He hasn't had things go so well since joining the UFC and I guess this would be his last fight should he lose. I still say after the Gonzaga fight he was never the same. Pat Berry looks like a great up and comer. He shows respect and promising abilities. I'm just hoping that Mirko has left the past behind him and can continue his reign in this sport, I'd hate to see him go out like this. :(

this will be like watching a K-1 match. unless cro cop tries to take it to the ground, witch i dont see happeneing. hes trying to make a come back not that he was ever gone just not in the picture so to speak. you know hes gonna try for the knock out of old cro cop ways. less then 24 hours to go im going to have to say cro cop by decision not the knock out were all looking for . personally i dont think pat barry will last the whole 3 rounds at a pace cro cop will dictate.

has anyone noticed how much more press Pat Barry is getting than Cro Cop? Barry is in 80% of the interview. Does anyone think Dana White plans on Cro Cop to lose? I heard its his last fight on his contract. I hope Cro Cop wins, he seems to need it more, if Barry lost, the UFC will keep him around a bit more.
