I figured it out after a few seconds. You make three triangles out of the 6 matches and arrange em so it makes one big triangle, thus making three small and one big triangle. I havn't watched the whole video so don't know if I'm right :P but I think so.

For starters, you'd need more than 6 matches to pull that off. Further, he says that each triangle has a side length of one matchstick, and your big triangle would be too large.

I thought of the pyramid about 25-35 seconds before the guy solved it. I can't be sure about my exact time, but I would definitely have to recommend that you don't even mention dimensions at all if you're gonna try this, because that alone could make the puzzle into a cakewalk!!
