It seems to be some what like a transmission. Momentary torque input for a return in rotation. Beautiful piece of gearing works. I really like it. Do you have any numbers on the input speed/torque and output speed/torque? It would seem that there is going to be a maximum input speed. Would be cool to have it connected to a rope that's tied to the top of a pine tree. I watch my pine tree move all day long at 1 to 3 feet when the wend is blowing.

@jober69 Maybe a fiberglass pole with 4 fixed panels in a plus shape like an arrow would look like in the ground.

What happens when you put a load on the weights? It seems to be friction driven which would suggest it would come to a halt.
