  • this too easy..

  • damn you yelling at me!

  • Not bad, best utube pool inst i seen yet

  • Could you make a video demonstrating how you hit follow with draw. Just kidding. Although I wouldn't rule it out with Efren.

  • put up sum cash

  • you should make a dvd

  • So If I hit the cue ball with right or left English it does not affect the direction of the other ball, it only changes the direction and angle of the cue ball after contact with the edges of the table. right?

  • @dillaOne No, it affects the path of the object ball as well.

  • he Thank you for your wonderful efforts

  • damn I'm not good with math XD

  • Thanks a lot,,,;)

  • Very nice video!

  • You'd get more action if you changed that felt!

  • مشكور ياغالي

  • @phalastiney Could you translate?

  • @forcefollow It means Thanks a lot,,,

  • @forcefollow he says thanks brother

  • @forcefollow he said thanks :)

  • @forcefollow he said "thank you, precious", lol

  • @forcefollow he is grateful and saying thankyou for such an informative video !!

  • @forcefollow thanks you special one!!

  • @forcefollow he said thanks dear ;)

  • @forcefollow he said thx my precious..)

  • @forcefollow Mhkour Iagala

  • @phalastiney WTF!

  • @Horsmark1 that is arabic, moron

  • You might be a five-time world champion, but you still have not learned to set your chalk FACE UP on the table. Popping it face down or even on its side gets chalk on everything, including your shaft, and chalk, obviously is an abrasive--not to mention being nasty.

  • Thanks! This vid helped me a lot :))

  • are you a pro in hopscotch?

  • @BabuinoMortal LOL yeah I am a 5 time world champion. No..... I made that for my kids.

  • When i try to hit follow...really hard. I miscue all the time but when i hit it softly or medium it's fine. Any tips?

  • @203132 I am guessing that you are hitting the cue ball too high above center. Once you hit the ball above where the color of a stripe ball is your chances of miscueing go way up. Also make sure your tip is properly groomed and chalked. Other than that hitting a ball at speed can expose impurities in your stroke.

  • @203132 Alternatively, u can stroke a follow-through on a dummy ball. Do make sure your last push is straight.

  • @203132 to learn how to follow or forcefollow (i mean a lots of spin) you have to learn to hit the cue ball right..this is something that i can't tell you how to do and maybe no one can. just 2 things, spin on the cueball is only speed on the cue not power!(never never put power on your grip hand, even when you break) and if you can't get it right just keep on practicing, with this kind of hit you'll have to hit CB 1 tip higher than center. the other thing allways followthrough allways.

  • Wat 3:56 MITS

  • looks like the warren commission explaination for the JFK assasination lol

  • great

  • luv ur video..accurate explanation...very clear details of things...i cant wait to try it out at the office for some of the usual small betting games there..ill keep u posted..tnx!

  • what wasnt mentioned here is that when you put side on it pushes the cueball slightly to the opposite direction, meaning you have to adjust your aim. Also as someone else mentioned, why isnt your right leg locked?. americans should play snooker its a lot better

  • yo the best man <3

  • nice

  • this is not spin the ball side spin is to take a large turn on the table the thing he showed was just determining where the ball goes after it hits

  • DE.MON.STRA.TION!

  • great deminstration

  • take the stupid glove off and keep your back leg locked straight.

  • @xtcongo why does he have to take the glove off? the Blackwidow (Jeanette Lee) uses a glove.. and its his stance.. let him shoot how he wants..

  • does english have any effect on the path of the object ball?

  • no the balls cant grip eachother so therefore english wont effect the path.

its all in the angle the cue ball meets the target ball

  • @ganjafarmer311 the cueball is pushed off center by the spin not when it makes contact with the the object ball. you can prove this to yourself by aiming straight near the cushion with side and watching it go off center

  • Great Videos. They really help me get a better understanding of the game. I wish your videos were a bit longer.

I hope you keep making more videos.

  • its side spin not english

  • any unnatural spin is english -.-''

  • practice make perfect... just try it again and again...

  • if practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect then why practice ;)

  • Whenever im trying to do a right hand/left hand english i hit the left/right side of the cue ball but the cueball moves left if i english right and right if i english left side after the impact with the cue stick. How can i control that and send the cueball in a straight line by using english?

  • Get a low deflection shaft like a Predator or OB shaft. It will still deflect some but not as much as some queues. Practice Practice and Practice some more to learn how to compensate for this.

  • You're 'mis-cuing. Your tip 'slips' off the ball instead of 'grips' like it should.

It's important to have both: a tip in proper condition, and a good quality cue chalk (re-chalk every shot).

Shape tip to the contour of the edge of a nickel. Use a tip shaper or 80 grit sandpaper to accomplish this. After 'conditioning' the tip, it should be a bit 'fuzzy', as to hold the cue chalk. It's what 'grips' the ball.

Now shoot using minimum english required to position as desired.

  • Try loosening your grip and use a real smooth stroke.

  • The problem you are describing is known as deflection, or 'squirt'. You can reduce the amount of squirt by keeping your cue as level as possible.

you can also try this technique:

aim the cue ball using center ball on the cue ball. Now, move only your back hand (the one that's gripping the butt of the cue) so the tip pivots for the desired amount of english. Do NOT readjust your aim after you pivot. Stroke the ball nice and smooth as you normally would.

  • Shorten or lengthen your bridge length until you find the point where no matter how much english you put on the cue ball, it travels along the path of your initial aiming line. Congratulations - you have found the 'squirt pivot point' of your cue.

    Watch this video:

    watch?v=mXJ7bDafTms

The last part of the video demonstrates what I've been talking about.

    Good luck with your game.

  • So thanks! 4 the help!!

  • thanks for the help :)

  • cayampa tu wea

  • cute video... very helpful

  • Comment removed

  • yeah you can see the dots on the table where he puts the balls every time. he isn't altering the position.

  • he is. skip from the first to the next position in the video. only the location of the strip on the object ball changes.

  • Wow.... go to 1:30 2:30 and then 3:30. I could have have placed them intentionally any better.

  • good awesome

  • 5/5 though every time I accidently klick on a pool/billiart video I am always surprised of how small that table is.... (I mostly watch snooker videos.) But still 5/5

  • yeah pool tables are much smaller, but this also isn't a full size pool table

  • coole lecture, but if you record another audio try not to talk so directly into the microphone. it's all distorted and all the s and sh come out as a shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... try to talk a bit over or under the membrane and use a wind protector :)

  • nice video and nice table, but you should buy a new playing surface^^

  • Already have another table and brand new playing surfice.

    Thanks,

    Marcus

  • Nice :)

  • do you mean is it possible to still make the cueball go straight? hitting the cueball with side will cause the ball to squirt slightly to the opposite side, depending on how hard you hit it, so youll have to ajdust accordingly.

  • That's just not true at all. The vast majority of the forces involved happen between the balls, the tip, the cloth and the cushion. Slate will stay level better, but how does the ball "know" what's under the cloth?

  • lmfao at the glove

  • guys i try to do this on my pool table but i dont get the spin can some one help me is it because my cue dosent have enough chalk on it or what please reply

  • It could be a variety of different things. I couldn't say for sure unless I saw you shoot.

  • not the cue.

its the cloth and the bed.

pool is best played on a very good table.

without a good table pool sux.

  • LOL, American Pool. Is it even possible to miss with those great caverns as pockets?

  • LOL, my thinking exactly! People, have a look a snooker ... its the 'chess' to your 'checkers'

  • not at all, both of you are absolutely retarded.

  • confusing comment ... you agree that it's not at all possible to miss with such cavernous pockets yet question our mental ability? When there is more pocket than cushion and games are concluded within a couple of minutes, it's nothing more than a fun mindless little game (eg. checkers/draughts, or blackjack/pontoon versus chess or poker).

  • But a decent pool player will always beat someone with a decent cue action who knows nothing about pool, because the pool player knows the tactics required to win, which is totally different to snooker.

  • have a look at russian billard... its also way harder to pot... but the difficulty of the game doesnt change, if the holes are smaller or bigger... also when you have no holes like carambolage... the difficulty depends on the skill of the player not the size of the holes or anything else...

  • I personally play snooker more than I do pool, and I do believe snooker is more challenging. But I hate it when i see people saying pool is crap because it's easy compared to snooker. While I find it easier to pot in pool, the cues, balls and tables in pool generally don't allow as much cueball controll as in snooker. Snooker requires a really good cue action to be able to knock in big breaks. I think the size of the table and the pockets allow you to get away with this in pool.

  • absolutely correct! :D

  • @ignorantpom Rack m up !

  • Are you sopposed too chalk you cue after ever shot?

  • Yes

  • nice pants

  • fantastic video, keep up the good work.

  • thx

  • thats amazing !!! can i have one of your old cue stick for free ?

  • Don't think so ^^

  • decent tutorial but the importance of the smooth stroke.

  • i always understood position play but could never quite implement it. Thanks man!

  • brilliant... 5 stars.. this brought me to really understand english and advanced me to my next level of the game.. its an integral part of position play that sum1 needed to talk about

  • Very Informative, Def. going to try this on the table. Thanks!

  • Superb! Brilliant!

  • Hey Buddy, "how ya do that?"

  • Thanks!!!

  • thanks for the tips:D

  • Well done demonstration and graphical presentation of the spin imparted.

  • Couple of little tips there i will try thanks!

  • very good! keep up!

  • excellent videos. thanks.

  • not bad at all, still like down the middle and place by force though!

  • cool!

  • Appreciated!
