Patrick is a most inspiring and amazing person, and always will be, but sometimes I end up wondering who he REALLY is under all that change...it's like his personality keeps developing, but I can't catch up with it. All of his music is very special and his newer material definitely makes me feel, too...but it's not 'magical' in the way his older stuff was...I feel it, but I don't 'become' it.

Being a Wolf fan since 2003, i can see why original fans dislike his new stuff, what with it edging its way into mainstream media & upped production values, but I think its a typical fan reaction to an artist changin direction. If he were still making Cornish folk albums he'd only be pretending. Besides, I'll bet anyone that The Bachelor and The Conqueror are his 'Ok Computer'; he'll go mad from exposure after 2010, retreat into anonimity and live like a hermit to make his obscure masterpiece. Good comment, but i cant agree about it edging its way into mainstream. I think Patrick has always been true to himself, and this record perhaps hes had even more room to do that by using band stocks to fund himself. Besides, Vulture wasnt exactly pc mainstream in the slightest.
